Yes, this is happening. Plans have been unveiled for a videogame based on iconic ’70s musical Grease. Publisher of exploitative Wii shovelware 505 Games will be bringing this treat to the masses, and has said it will be a party title for Nintendo’s Wii and DS handheld. A party game for the Wii! What will they think of next, etc.

When it arrives in September, Grease: The Game will use the Wii Balance Board and up to two USB microphones, with players competing in teams against one another.

16 of the movie’s songs will appear, letting you “dance the hand jive hop, race down Thunder Road and have fun at the Rydell Graduation carnival with Frenchie, Kenickie, Rizzo and the rest of the T-Birds and Pink Ladies”.

Naturally, the DS version sounds far more scaled-back, with ten songs that can be played as rhythm-action games, I guess something like Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, but about a tenth as awesome.

If YouTube wasn’t invented for people to video themselves completing NES games on Dance Dance Revolution dance pads, then hell if I know what it’s real purpose is. This is Nick Hagman, whose handy feet have helped him complete the original Super Mario Bros. using just a dance pad.

It took this gaming leg-end 14 attempts and a week and a half of practice to achieve his noble goal, and he taped it all for your viewing pleasure (mercifully fast-forwarding through duller sections). It’s mighty impressive, and next week he’s taking on Mega Man 2. I can’t even complete Mega Man 2 with my hands, so I look forward to it, Nick.

There is no denying the fact that as silly as it might be as a dance step nobody is going to soon forget Michael Jackson’s famous Moonwalk. It has been imitated by people of all ages and from around the world. I would bet there isn’t a country around where someone hasn’t done the Moonwalk.

Since his death three’s been more than a few sites spring up on the web dedicated to all aspects of the star’s life but when it comes to the Moonwalk the best has to be Eternal Moonwalk. It is a site where people can upload their efforts to pull of the perfect Moonwalk, or even create animated videos of the dance step.

The uploaded videos are played in a scrolling display as you can see below. Apparently there is some neat things you can do when you tap the S, D, F, J, K, L buttons on your keyboard.
