Love has been renting a $27,000-a-month home in the West Village area of New York City, but the owner of the home, Donna Lyon, is not happy with how the rocker has treated her property. Love has now been asked to leave the house.

Lyon’s complaints are varied. She says her famous tenant has redecorated the four-storey house against her will, which Lyon claims has “ruined” the property, previously “made beautiful” by interior designer and former resident Steven Gambrel. It’s fair to say Lyon was not won over by Love’s choice of interior design tastes:

“Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent. I learned about this when I wanted to sell the house and had photographs taken. They sent me the brochure and I said, ‘This can’t be my property.’ I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done. The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint.”

Lyon also says Love is $50,000 behind on her rent, and almost razed the house to the ground when she accidentally set curtains on fire with a candle. “I got a call from her accountant, who said, ‘Miss Love is fine,’ which I was glad to hear, but I thought, ‘What about the house?”’ Lyon told the New York Post.

The landlady says  it will take 12 weeks and US$100,000 to restore the home to its original state. Her lawyer Norman Flitt has said Love’s alleged actions are “tantamount to destroying a work of art.”

A court date of December 21 has been set. The rock star’s representative has not commented.

“Completely untrue. Not now, not in the past, never,” her publicist, Steve Honig, told The Famous.

The rumors first started following an interview in the December issue of Details Magazine, in which Love, 47, explained that she’d “taken up Lohan because nobody else” would.

Courtney went on to say that Lohan – who has been in and out of jail and rehab in recent years, tackling both booze and illegal substance issues – was “further down the line than I was, because there was no TMZ then.”

Having herself gone through a 12-step program in order to kick her drug habit, Love shared that she once attempted to “scare” LiLo straight by using a personal story as an example, according to Radar online.

“I went up to Lindsay’s room one time and there was a show on called ’101 Celebrity Oops’ and I am like every other one, you know – boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s–t at Madonna, you know, whatever. I’m like ‘Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!’”

Despite the rocker’s detailed accounts of coaching, Lohan’s spokesman insists Love is not the star’s sober mentor – she’s just a supportive pal.

“Courtney Love is not, nor has she ever been, Lindsay’s sober coach,” Lohan’s publicist told ABCNews.com. ”Lindsay is, however, grateful for her friendship.”

Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Kobain, is getting married. Maybe. The 19-year-old model is reportedly engaged to Isaiah Silva, the singer from The Rambles, who looks a lot like her late father.

The OC Weekly reports that Cobain and Silva have been dating for over a year and that they recently got engaged. In order to back up the facts, OC points to Cobain’s Facebook status which recently changed from “In a relationship” to “Engaged.” Frances hasn’t made any wedding announcements yet, but she did recently buy a $1.8 million house in LA, so maybe she is ready to settle down.

But according to People, the Facebook status has changed back to in a relationship, so Frances may just be toying with her fans.

However, she did write on Facebook:

“Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world.”

Having been a (somewhat young) teenager when Nirvana shot to fame, it is with a mix of feeling old and feeling creepy I report that Frances Bean Cobain is now grown and apparently sexy.

The baby Courtney Love was pregnant with when she did the disastrous Vanity Fair profile with Lynn Hirschberg in 1992, who was a tiny toddler when Kurt Cobain took his own life in 1994- is now old enough to be tattooed and smoking in a photospread. Frances Bean Cobain is 18 going on 19, meaning if you watched MTV news reports about her parents’ wedding the first time around, you are very old indeed.

The gorgeous series of pics shot of the rock couple’s daughter, done in black and white by photographer Hedi Slimane, depict Frances Bean in several sultry but not overtly sexy poses- smoking, lounging and generally looking stunning. Perhaps the most striking thing about the punk princess is her resemblance to both parents- but most hauntingly, her father.

Unlike her platinum blonde mother and naturally towheaded dad, however, Frances Bean favors dark, black locks- and while not visible in the black and white shoot, she has his striking blue eyes. And while the gorgeous, grown up girl in the pics has hopefully cast off the pall of her father’s untimely and sad death, those of us who are old enough to remember his work probably can’t help but recall his last words about his daughter:

Vampire heartthrob Robert Pattinson is reportedly Courtney Love’s first choice to play iconic Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain in a “Nirvana biopic” tentatively titled All Apologies.

Love, who has famously disagreed on many things with Cobain’s bandmates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic in the years since Cobain’s death, is said to strongly favor Pattinson for the role of her late husband. Love is reportedly eying up Scarlett Johansen for the role of Courtney.

RadarOnline is quick to point out that the project could help bail Love out of money problems she’s had in the past few years:

“This is a big money deal for Courtney — she has agreed to the film on condition that she gets to decide the main aspects of the project including director, casting, screenplay and music,” the source said. “Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop… she has been a bit wound up by his manners, but he is her number one choice to play Kurt.”

Love’s decisions in the handling of her husband’s image after his death have been somewhat controversial. She protested the inclusion of his music in Guitar Hero 5 vehemently until it was revealed that she’d actually approved the portrayal and had even been actively involved.

So said Courtney Love on how she thought Kurt Cobain may perceive his digital likeness in Guitar Hero 5. The above claim was tweeted by Love back in September 2009, but now things are different, it seems. In an interview with the NME, Love says her late husband would find his appearance in Guitar Hero 5 “really funny.”

“What pisses me off the most about it is I think Kurt would be fine with having five Kurt Cobains singing the (Spice Girls) song Wannabe, like, ‘Tell me what you want, what you really really want,’ Love told the music mag. “I think he’d find that really funny.”

Oh great, so you’re dropping that lawsuit against Activision then, Courtney? Oh …

“But at the same time it’s gross what they did. Gwen [Stefani - another stroppy star suing Activision for how her band No Doubt appears in Band Hero] started the lawsuit. I have really good lawyers now and will join that lawsuit.”

So in conclusion, Courtney Love:

1. Thinks Kurt would despise Guitar Hero 5.

3. Is still suing Activision, despite signing away Cobain’s likeness on a contract.

Courtney Love has hopped back on the Crazy Train, ranting at Activision for its portrayal of Kurt Cobain in Guitar Hero 5. That is, the portrayal that she approved.

There’s been an outcry about Cobain’s appearance in the game, and not just because you can watch the Nirvana frontman’s avatar sing along to Flavor Flav. Commentators have argued that Cobain’s memory has been exploited and soiled by his inclusion in a product that he would have had little interest in endorsing.

Getting him in the game reportedly took three years of negotiations, with Love, Universal Publishing, and (former Nirvana drummer) Dave Grohl all involved. Now, Love denies (via her Twitter feed) that she approved the Cobain avatar, while exhibiting the spelling and grammatical prowess of a drunk manatee:

“FOR THE RECORD I DID NOT APPROVE KURTS AVATAR FOR GUYITARHERO5. i think Kurt would despise this game alone let alone this avatar”

This directly contradicts a statement made by Activision’s Tim Riley, from last month:

“Courtney supplied us with photos and videos and knew exactly what she wanted Kurt to look like. She picked the wardrobe and hair style, which turned out to be the ‘Teen Spirit’ look, then we went back and forth over changes – some subtle, some not so subtle.”

Alas, it sounds like Love will not be deterred in her attempts to take Activision down. Labelling the publisher a “bully,” she adds:

“WE are going to sue the s[***] out of ACtivision we being the Trust the Estate the LLC the various LLCs Cobain Enterprises”

Courtney Love managed to grab herself some headlines yesterday after surfacing in New York looking like- well- an emaciated drug addict.

Love, 44, is currently in the midst of a few financial setbacks, including a disputed $350,000 debt with American Express and a pending lawsuit regarding the mishandling of late-husband Kurt Cobain’s estate. In the past, Love has wrangled legally with former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic over Nirvana’s post-Cobain finances. The controversial snaps were taken as Courtney exited a cab to visit a New York City bank.

Love has publicly struggled with her weight in the past and admitted to having tried to get a gastric band. She was denied for not meeting minimum weight requirements. She also has inadvertently exposed some pretty gnarly plastic surgery.

Courtney recently announced that she’s getting the band back together for a late 2009/early 2010 album entitled “Nobody’s Daughter.” However, Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur was confused by the news, telling reporters in Toronto she hadn’t heard anything about a planned reunion and stated:

“I actually don’t know. I have no idea. I arrived at North By Northeast and I heard that Hole were getting back together from people sending me links.”

Courtney Love has skipped out on the bill for an expensive hotel suite after trashing the room then sneaking out while the cleaners were there.

In the hotel suite she had been staying in for about a month, the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, Courtney Love decided she had to dye a bunch of clothes for her new fashion line before flying to London for the Elle Style Awards back in January. She ended up splashing pink dyd around the room and floors and upon discovering what she had done, called the hotel staff to have the room cleaned.

While the cleaners were there, Love took the liberty of leaving the hotel without returning to pay the enormous bill for the room and damages.

Courtney’s spokespeople had no comment when contacted about the incident.

Responding to rumors that he was dating Courtney Love, Mickey Rourke categorically denied the story, but it’s how he does it that’s golden.

Rourke told reporters who asked him Thursday that he would “rather be on a deserted island with a gorilla!” than with Love.

The Mirror had claimed Rourke and Love have been dating for three weeks since a hook up at the Golden Globes in January.

“Courtney has quite a crush on Mickey and finds him utterly compelling,” a source told The Mirror. “They’ve known each other for years – she’s stuck by him through the good times and the bad. Now he’s back on the Hollywood A-list he’s gone up another notch in the desirability stakes. Let’s just say they didn’t stop at holding hands and a chaste peck on the cheek.”

She claimed that the attack targeted her employee because he was gay, and that Rob should try to get “acceptance of [his] own homosexuality” so the two can go on a shopping trip to the “Ab and Fitch store while the techno music blasts really loud and find you a tight tee shirt for our big night at Rage in Weho.”

Kim responded yesterday, writing “Courtney Love wrote a disturbing blog this morning that is obviously very untrue” and that ”"This is TOTALLY FALSE!” She continued:

“My entire family’s response is this: We are so saddened to hear that someone is blogging this insanity on Christmas Eve. Everything this person writes is obviously untrue and we will forward this terrible nonsense to our attorneys. Merry Christmas!”

What was Courtney Love doing this weekend, you ask? I just happen to have the answer for you, and it’s kind of like what we do at The Inquisitr except, erm, she’s almost entirely incoherent: blogging 60+ posts in under a few hours. And guess what? I’ve read her post a couple times now, and I think she was actually on the right path until someone tried to explain voting to her. Prepare to have your head messed with:

Need a reminder that people are sick? Here’s the news of the day: someone has stolen Kurt Cobain’s ashes from Courtney Love’s Hollywood home, which had been secured in a pink teddy-bear shaped bag. The News of the World reminded us that that wasn’t the only thing gone, with thousands of dollars of jewelry and clothes were also taken. I hope this piece was one of them.

“They were all I had left of my husband,” Love said. “I used to take them everywhere with me just so I could feel Kurt was still with me. I can’t believe anyone would take Kurt’s ashes from me. I find it disgusting and right now I’m suicidal.”

“Suicidal?” That’s definitely a word you don’t want to throw around too casually, all things considered. It’s also no secret that Courtney Love doesn’t exactly keep the best company all the time. Forget a cat burglar; she should probably check out her “friends” first.
