Clarice Taylor, best known for her role as Grandma Huxtable on The Cosby Show passed away on Monday, she was 93-years-old. According to Taylor’s rep she passed away from heart failure at her own home in Englewood., New Jersey.

Speaking about his longtime friend Bill Cosby called her ‘perfect’ in her role on the show which ran from 1984 until 1992, while Cosby added, except she was “young enough to play my sister.”

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday Cosby said:

“She did stand-up comedy. She and I were not of the ‘theatuh’ per se, we are performers,” he continued, “So whenever I’d say something to her about doing something, I just talked to her the way comedians talk.”

Clarice took on various roles throughout the years, including a spot on the original production of Broadway’s “The Wiz.”

As Anna Huxtable Clarice received an Emmy nomination in 1986.

Other roles in her career included Clint Eastwood’s “Play Misty for Me” (1971) and Five on the Black Hand Side (1973). Taylor also served as Harriet on Sesame Street from the 1970′s through 1990.

Taylor is survived by two sons, James and William, and five grandchildren.

Like the supermodels in the TV spots for dating sites, actress Essence Atkins was too busy making mad cheddar and being hot to meet a man in real life. Atkins liked that she didn’t have to post a photo on Match.com, and since she could be all anonymous, she messaged a man named Jaime Mendez one Valentine’s Day.

According to Match.com, Atkins and Mendez had 97% compatability. And that may not have been too far off, because the pair is now engaged and plan to tie the knot on September 26th.

Girlfriend better be getting a sweet endorsement deal out of this.
