Darren Aronofsky Directs Jessica Biel and Pharrell Williams In Revlon Commercial

This has to be the strangest mashup of the week. Pi Director Darren Aronofsky took some time off filming award-winning movies (Black Swan, Requeim for a Dream) to direct hip-hop super star producer Pharrell Williams and former 7th Heaven star Jessica Biel in a Revlon makeup commercial.

The commercial was created for Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara and features Pharrell who is mesmerized with Biel’s eyes because of her eye lashes. The N.E.R.D. producer also provides the music, singing “You got me, girl.”

The commercial definitely looks like a film director created it, however it doesn’t look like an Aronofsky original.

[VIDEO] First PlayStation Move ad slags off Wii, Microsoft’s Natal

Sony announced its “PlayStation Move” motion-sensing controller last week, and has now delivered a sassy advert mocking its rivals, the Wii remote and Microsoft’s Project Natal for the Xbox 360. The corporate shit-slinging is already underway!

This commercial is the latest in Sony’s excellent “Kevin Butler” series (see more of these amusing TV spots here), and starts by poking fun at the limitations of boxing in Wii Sports. It swiftly moves on to snorting derisively at the lack of buttons on the hands-free Project Natal:

“I mean, come on, who wants to pretend their hand is a gun? What is this, third grade? Pew pew!”

Juvenile, but humorous. Ball’s in your court, Nintendo and Microsoft.

This is absolutely funny as hell.

An Alien (ala the movie) with a British accent sitting down to a bowl of Raisin Bran Crunch and explaining how his life has changed since he chilled out over the whole human eating thing. Now it’s all about Pilates and going with the flow.

Thanks to Seriously? OMG! WTF?, we get to watch Ben Affleck in a fast food commercial well before the ridiculousness that was his J-Lo Period and now his happy, two-kid life with Jennifer Garner. That hair! That jacket! That phone! It’s so fun and retro, and best of all, it’s most likely a little embarrassing for Mr. Affleck.
