After 28 year together and two grown children Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed officially tied the known this weekend in an evening ceremony on the crystal lawn at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

According to reports the Saturday wedding left guests cheering as Gene finally said “I do” to his long time partner.  T

Tweed, 54 wore a beautiful ivory Priscilla of Boston gown and carried ivory garden roses down the isle. When all was said and done Tweed wore three different dresses for her special day.

According to guests the couple read their own vows to an audience of 400 guests that including Gene’s fellow members of KISS, Bill Maher and others. Tweed chose daughter Sophie, 19, to be her maid of honor and their other child Nick, 22, was also in attendance.

In a special salute to their very long courtship the couple’s first dance was “At Last” by Etta James and it was performed by their daughter Sophie.

Before proposing Gene and Shannon were on rocky terms, Simmons whisked his then girlfriend off on a private vacation which aired on their reality TV show Gene Simmons Family Jewels proposing to her just as the shows season drew to an end without an answer.

Beatles singer Paul McCartney, 69, will marry fiancee and New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell, 51, this weekend at his farmhouse in Sussex, England.

The couple have been bee engaged since April after McCartney provided Shevell with a $650,000 engagement ring.

A source close to the couple tells Us Weekly:

“It will be a small, intimate wedding,” while adding, “It’s going to be very elegant and classic. They are having a big party in New York to celebrate later on.”

The marriage will be the third for McCartney who’s first wife Linda died of Cancer in 1998, while his second marriage to gold-digger Heather Mills ended with a 2008 divorce that cost him $50 million, a sum Mills later complained meant she would have to fly “coach.”

This time around McCartney is marrying someone with money of their own, Shevell is the businesswoman daughter of cargo magnate Mike Shevell who’s who’s company is worth upwards of $500 million.

Shevell received her divorce from lawyer Bruce Blakeman from the US Supreme Courts of the State of New York on December 9, 2008, that split was said to be amicable.

Hopefully things work out better for the couple than their past marriages, one thing is for certain, this isn’t a money play for either one of them with no prenup reportedly being signed. If it does go badly Nancy will likely take the brunt of public anger, people just don’t like when other people mess with their Beatles.

Glee and 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson and his physicist boyfriend Monte Lapka tied the knot on Saturday after a long courtship.

Jackson, 36, couldn’t contain his excitement for the event, making the official announcement on Twitter as the couple spent some time together on the beach.

Jackson tweeted a simple message to his fans:

“It’s official, after 11 years together, Zora’s no longer a bastard.”

Zora, who the couple call their “daughter” is a dog they share together in their New York home.

Jackson went on to say that he “Married the best man I’ve ever known.”

After New York passed a gay marriage law it shouldn’t have surprised any of Jackson’s fans that he quickly tied the knot, back in the fall the actor who plays “vocal adrenaline” coach Dustin on the hit Fox series Glee spoke with WNBC New York about his dream wedding, telling them it would be

“Something small. My dream wedding involves just close friends and good music.”

He went on to reveal:

“And we’ll both be in tuxes. Unfortunately, nobody’s going to be wearing a dress, but that’s okay, too…Our dog would be there. Our dog, our daughter, Zora. … Pretty boring, but something just nice and on the beach.”

The Twitpic (shown above) of the happy couple on the beach with no huge reception in sight appears to echo his wishes for a simple, friends only affair.

Petra Ecclestone, the daughter of billionaire Formula 1 racing CEO Bernie Ecclestone exchanged vows over the weekend with fiance businessman James Stunt. According to reports the lavish three-day wedding which took place just outside of Rome cost the brides father a cool $5 million.

When considering Petra Ecclestone just dropped $85 million to buy Candy Spelling’s Beverly Hills home that price seems like a drop in the bucket.

So what did Ecclestone get for $5 million?  She started with a $130,000 Vera Wang gown and then partied down with guests as various musical guests performed including Andrea Bocelli, Eric Clapton and the Black Eyed Peas.

Guests at the reception also sipped on Chateau Petrus wine which retails for $6,500 per bottle.

One source told E! Online:

“No one had ever seen anything like it. Everything was done to perfection with no expense spared,” while adding, “It was the wedding of the century fit for a princess!”

Before the wedding started guests were already being pampered at the very upscale hotel Villa Aurelia where they ate caviar and calamari while sipping on Cristal champagne as Alicia Keys performed.

It may have been a high end affair and some people are calling it the “wedding of the decade” but honestly $5 million seems a bit on the cheap side when your dad is worth billions, then again perhaps her $85 million mansion was a wedding gift.

As our own Michael Söze reported earlier today Sherri Shepherd wed Lamar Sally over the weekend and while the Chicago ceremony at the Fairmont Hotel was a private event, it’s being reported that some specific women who should have been there did not attend, those ladies are Shepherd’s The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters and Joy Behar.

According to one wedding insider:

 ”I assumed that they would be there as did all of the wedding party and guests, or they should have at least sent a video of congratulations as well as expressing why they regret they could not attend or to show they were at least there for Sal & Sherry in spirit.”

At least two of the shows hosts Whoopi and Barbara were only a few hours away in New York at the time of the wedding, leading to some speculation that they simple didn’t support their fellow co-host.

While the ladies of the view were not in attendance there were still plenty of celebrity pals supporting their nuptials including Elisabeth Hasslebeck and husband Tim Hasselbeck, Jay Tucker, Yvette Nicole Brown and comedian Kym Whitley among others.

According to the Sun Times:

The eatery [P.F. Changs] presented them with a special red velvet cake, the bride’s favorite. One of Sherri’s adoring fans happened to be celebrating her birthday at the eatery, and Sherri graciously took pictures and the fan told her how “skinny she looked.” Local music retailer George Daniels was among the many wedding guests and was seen dancing with Hasselbeck at the reception. (Were they steppin’?)

There’s always drama between ladies of The View but who knows, perhaps they simply couldn’t make it this time around.

If Tori Spelling has her way she’ll be planning the wedding for her good friend and former Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty.

Doherty is marrying photographer Kurt Iswarienko and their nuptials will be captured for a new WE TV reality show that will feature them planning their wedding.

Speaking to People Magazine Spelling said “I’ll do the wedding” although Doherty has not responded to her friends enthusiasm for her wedding at this time.

Tori would be a good choice for wedding planner as she’s no stranger to planning weddings for TV, her and her husband Dean McDermott host the Oxygen show “Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings” where they help couples plan and execute their dream weddings.

Then again Doherty is also no stranger to wedding planning, Iswarienko will be her third husband, although technically she was wed four times when she married Rick Salomon in January 2002 however that marriage was annulled in May 2003.

On thing is for certain, the wedding, if Tori planned it, would like have lots of little children running around as Spelling and McDermott who married in 2006 have two children, Liam, 5 and Stella, 3, while Spelling is currently seven month pregnant with her third child.

Now if Brian Austin Green would show up with Luke Perry, Jenny Garth, Ian Ziering and the rest of the Peach Pit regulars it would rival the Zack and Kelly wedding from Saved By The Bell.

Well, this is something you don’t see every day.

16-year-old country singer Courtney Alexis Stodden has married 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison- who you may remember from roles on Lost and in The Green Mile. According to local law, Hutchison- who is 35 years older than his child bride- needed to obtain permission from at least one of Stodden’s parents to marry the girl. The pair wed in Vegas on May 20th, and commented through a rep on the unusual coupling:

“We’re aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial,” the couple told E! Online. “But we’re very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless.”

Hutchison’s website adds:

“Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison live together happily ensconced in their Hollywood Hills home with their lil’ pups Everette and Tuna!”

One gossip site actually tracked down Stodden’s parents, who infuse the story with a whole new level of creepdom. Courtney’s dad- who is actually 4 years younger than her husband, actually said this and I am not making this up:

“Every father can only pray to have such a man behind their daughter… Courtney is one of the most level headed girls out there and I’m not just saying that because she’s my daughter. Doug is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life,” Alex said of his 51-year-old son-in-law, who tied the knot with his daughter in Vegas on May 20.

Stodden’s mom denies her daughter’s grown up appearance is thanks to plastic surgery:

Krista also said her daughter was a “good Christian girl,” who was a “virgin when she married Doug.”  The proud mom also slammed reports that her daughter has had plastic surgery: “She is a beautiful girl. She has real breasts, real lips, she’s not plastic.”

I can’t really tell if it makes sense her parents feel this way, or it’s totally bizarre, or both. The news has attracted a bit of critical attention, but marriages like this have done well in the past, and maybe the May-December couple will make it. Does this squick you out?

Dylan Lauren, owner of the celebrity favorite Dylan’s Candy Bar stores wed her fiance, hedge fund manager Paul Arrouet on Saturday during a private ceremony that took place at her parent’s Bedford, N.Y. estate.

Lauren, the daughter of famed designer Ralph Lauren wore a dress designed by her famous father.

A source close to the couple told PEOPLE:

“The evening was certainly an affair to remember,” while adding, “Every detail embodied the couple from the design of place cards to the place settings to the music and, of course, to the dessert bar. It was a truly special evening. The couple couldn’t be more in love with one another.”

As any guest of Lauren would expect there was plenty of sweets on hand for the wedding, including a Strawberry cheesecake and banana splits.

Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon and Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge were married at a small ceremony on Thursday, the wedding took place at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif.

The happy couple announced their engagement last fall and originally met in 2007 at the Coachella music festival, Alridge was later featured in the bands music video for Use Somebody.

I thought that Scarlett had said that she was going to delay the wedding already, but a source has clarified that it’s definitely penciled in post-November. NOW mag brought us the dirt:

‘Ryan has been wanting to marry Scarlett for some time and was thrilled when they got engaged in May,’ a source tells the Daily Express. ‘He’d marry her if he could tomorrow if he could but Scarlett’s twin Hunter is really busy working on Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. He’s working all the time so Scarlett wants to hold off until the election is over.’

Sigh. It’s just unfortunate that I can’t get worked up over their wedding after Scarlett totally killed it by yammering on about monogamy for the third year in a row. We get it– we did in 2006, in fact– and now all I see is a ticking clock for her and Ryan. Could she really settle down?
