Demi Moore’s visit to the hospital following a seizure is now believed to have been caused after the 49-year-old actress inhaled an overdose amount of nitrous oxide from “whip-it” shots, a popular high among teens and college students.

According to inside sources one of Demi Moore’s friends grew concerned when she began “shaking” and “acting like she was suffering from a seizure, that friend tells E! News that she called 911 after realizing the situation was growing worse.

Whip-it’s are often taken from whipped cream cannisters although it’s still not clear if that is how Demi Moore inhaled the nitrous oxide.

People points out that Moore’s recent history with substance abuse has been pointed to as one of the reasons her marriage to Ashton Kutcher may have fallen apart, a source speaking to the magazine notes:

“He wanted her to take care of herself and get a hold of things, and she wouldn’t.”

That same source goes on to point out that her family and friends have called her a “mess” and have begged her to get the help she needs.

Just take a look at the photo posted on this page and it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Demi Moore and her stick figure of a left over body has been engaging pretty heavily in substance abuse.

Rapper Coolio was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport Friday for drug possession,

According to reports, Coolio was found with crack cocaine while going through security to board a flight. He has been released on $10,000 bail.

Since hitting the charts with hit “Gangsta’s Paradise” in 1995, Coolio has become an occasional TV celebrity show participant, and even hosted a cooking show.

Amy Winehouse has a lot of time on her hands, and it looks like she’s taken to a little inventing. One of Amy’s friends recently went to News of the World to discuss Amy’s recent project: cocaine-infused cotton candy!

The story is that Amy’s pal Mik Whitnall got her a cotton candy machine (a good one at that), and “sprinkled a wrap of coke into the mixture.” It’s reported that “Amy started eating it before she realized what they’d done. She now thinks it’s a hoot to do the same.”

This is a great way to circumvent the whole nose-falling-off-your-face thing, that’s for sure. If this is true, Amy’s a forward thinker!

Which Hollywood gal thinks the Class-A life (and drugs) have improved since her wild years? Gosh, beats me– and that’s because there are a couple of “high” rollings celebs who fit the bill nicely. The Daily News dropped this blind item on us today:

Which supposedly squeaky-clean starlet was a big fan of some pretty hardcore drugs back in college? Her favorite tagline is, “Wow, the drugs in Hollywood are so much better than what we used to get.” Of course, all the evidence of her hard partying has been erased. Once she hit the big time a couple of years back, her publicist made the rounds of her pals and bought up all the photo evidence of her former fun.

David O’Neal has hit back at all the drug rumors after his arrest and has claimed (through his attorney) that the drugs found in his home were not his. Sigh:

“Those were not Ryan’s drugs, he doesn’t use drugs, and has nothing to do with them. It’s a dangerous assumption for deputies to have arrested Ryan just because he was in proximity to the drugs.”

After presenting his statement, David’s attorney did not explain how the methamphetamines appeared in Ryan’s bedroom, but he did promise that he “will be fully vindicated.”

What about son Redmond, who was arrested at the same time? I guess it’s embarrassing to go there right now, or he’s too busy dealing with the consequences of a potentially royal f-up. Redmond did talk to X17 a tad, but mostly to tell people to leave him alone.

Sigh. This news is about as surprising as Amy Winehouse buzz: Pete Doherty supposedly overdosed in Austria at the end of last week. Remember that porno theater where Pete was going to show his expose memoir with tidbits about Kate Moss and various paramours? Yeah, he collapsed before his performance there, and The Sun reports that it could have been due to overdose:

“He had reportedly been on a huge bender at his promoter Bettina Aichbauer’s farmhouse. She called an ambulance and he was revived — but the gig had to be delayed four hours. The BABYSHAMBLES frontman refused hospital treatment and managed to play his gig. Last night his agent refused to comment.”

Anyone surprised? Anyone?

Okay, this video is a little better, but you get the idea. Amy’s blundered into another another mess by forgetting not to allegedly indulge in the illegal stuff around. . . well, anyone. News of the World continues:

“Amy was filmed at The Monarch pub in Camden last month while standing in front of a Union Jack flag. Desperate for a fix, the singer is seen snorting the cocaine off a CD case in full view of partygoers.”

Since Amy’s headed towards rehab right now (well, sort of), nobody’s too surprised, except for Blake Fielder-Civil’s mom. Georgette Civil commented that “Enough is enough” and that “Rehab clinics are a waste of money, unless you want them to work. Amy doesn’t want to give up drugs, so she’s got to learn the hard way in prison.” Amy needs something, for sure, but the big shocker to me was that someone took the time to record a video of TMZ’s clip. Now that’s dedication!

In another strange twist to the Amy Winehouse saga, The Sun revealed a source claiming that Mitch believes that his daughter was drugged. Instead of suffering convulsions due to her medication, Amy’s dad thinks that she was slipped some E:

“[Mitch] is convinced that one of her hangers-on was responsible and he’s waiting for a toxicology report to show what caused her to fit. If his suspicions are proved right, he wants someone to be punished. He is seriously unhappy about Amy’s flat being a stop-over for randoms and wants an end to it.”

Anything is possible, but honestly, it’s not like Amy’s exactly been staying in lately. One thing that I do know for sure: this isn’t the end of it!
