The greatest will-he, won’t-he candidate this side of Chris Christie (Yes, I’m talking about Donald Trump) is making delicate hints toward yet another run for president. Trump might not be out of the race just yet, though according to him, it really depends on his show.

Still considering a run as an independent, Trump admits that the decision will be difficult because, well, he loves himself so much.

“I love my business. I love what I’m doing. I love this whole thing of what Donald Trump does,” the real estate mogul said on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday.

Trump admits that going head-to-head with President Obama for the top seat in the nation isn’t exactly something he wants to do, but he will boldly sacrifice his dreams and passions under the right conditions. He does view the upcoming election as anyone’s race, saying “the right independent could win,” adding his condition that, “if I don’t see a person that is going to win—that’s tantamount—I would certainly think about doing it.”

Referencing his earlier run, Trump said: “If I didn’t have the show, I probably would have maybe just kept going because I was doing well, as you know. I was leading in the polls.”

He continued with his reservations about a future run: “I mean, I built a great company, a great business,” he said. “I hope I don’t have to, but I may. Absolutely. The number one thing for me is this country. Our country’s in a lot of trouble. So I may. I hope I don’t have to.”

Now this might just be me, but I think every once in a while Trump looks at his well-coiffed dome in the mirror some mornings, whispers “President Trump…” and that’s what determines whether or not he’ll run that week.

Visitors to the CBS.com website earlier today were met with nothing, that’s because the hacktivist group Anonymous managed to not only perform a DDoS attack on the network but actually hack the company’s website and delete all files.

Fortunately for CBS a backup was made for obvious (hacking) reasons and the company responded quickly by replacing the deleted website with all original files.

Visitors for a short period of time were met with an index page found within a single file and nothing more.

Attacked a short time afterwards was UniversalMusic.com which was also quickly restored from a backup and continued business as usual.

Anonymous has been attacking various industry websites since the take down of MegaUpload by Federal authorities. Sites attacked have included the DOJ, RIAA, MPAA, Universal, EMI, FBI and various other industry websites the hacking initiative believes has wronged their own personal choices.

In the meantime the actual hacking and deletion of a website falls squarely in new territory for Anonymous and showcases the groups efforts to more severely punish any corporate interests that infringe of their ability to download and stream illegal copies of copyrighted material.

According to a report by the New York Post, Eddie Brill, who served as David Letterman’s comedy booker on The Late Show, has been fired as a result of his comments in a recent profile by the New York Times, in which he said: “There are a lot less female comics who are authentic. I see a lot of female comics who, to please an audience, will act like men.”

Brill, who held his position as booker for The Late Show for 10 years, will reportedly still be involved in the show as a “warm up” for the studio audience ahead of the telecast. The Post reports that Brill’s now-vacant position will be filled in by a small group of producers.

Brill’s comments were perceived by some to be an attack on the idea that female comics are just as funny as men, but not everyone thinks the comments should have been taken so seriously, including stand-up comedian Lisa Lampanelli.

“I was really surprised and unhappy about that,” Lampanelli commented to the Post. “It’s funny how you can get fired for an opinion. He should be allowed to say what he wants.”

David Letterman is reportedly in talks with CBS to extend his contract for at least two more years into 2014, which would make him the longest running late-night show host since the 30-year run of Letterman’s idol, Johnny Carson.

The news comes from a report by the New York Times, who says that executives involved in the talks between CBS and Worldwide Pants, Letterman’s production company, confirmed that a deal for the Late Show host to remain on the air until 2014 is “imminent”.

Craig Ferguson, host of the “Late Late Show“, is also in the middle of similar talks to extend his contract with CBS as well, CBS said in a statement.

“As would be expected at this time, we’re having conversations with both Dave and Craig about future years. There are no further details to announce at this time,” the network said.

When Letterman renewed his contract back in 2010, there was talk that once his contract runs out in August of this year, he would be retiring. Over the past several months, however, reports from people “close” to Letterman said that the late-night host was considering sticking around for at least a few more years. Going by NYT’s report, that does appear to be the case.

Donna Douglas, the actress who played Elly May Clampett on the “The Beverly Hillbillies” has just settled her lawsuit with Mattel and CBS over a Barbie doll that used her character’s name and likeness.

Douglas was seeking at least $75,000 in her lawsuit against CBS and Mattel. An attorney for Douglas said that the lawsuit had been settled but did not give any further details.

Douglas played Elly Mae Clampett for nine seasons on the CBS comedy about a rural family that moves to Beverly Hills after striking oil.  The actress sued CBS Consumer Products and Mattel Inc., saying that they used her character’s name and likeness without her permission. CBS and Mattel said in court documents that they didn’t need the actress’ permission because the character belonged to the network.

No matter who the character truly belongs to, Donna Douglas, CBS, and Mattel have worked tirelessly to preserve the integrity of the character, as evident by this clip of Elly Mae Clampett dancing poolside with a gorilla.

CBS will keep their reality TV game show Survivor going for at least two more seasons by announcing on Thursday that they have renewed the show through the 2013 network season.

Returning as the show’s host for the 25th and 26th editions of the show is Jeff Probst who will shoot the two extra seasons back-to-back next Spring.

It should be a busy time for Probst who will also be balancing his duties on a new daytime talk show that is slated to begin airing in September 2012.

In the meantime fans of the hit reality game show series can catch the 24th season of Survivor when it starts airing on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The newest edition is titled Survivor: One World and will split males and females into competing tribes who live together on the same beach.

Michelle Bachmann is going on the offensive after CBS political analyst John Dickerson mistakenly including one of the Republican’s staff members in an email regarding the networks upcoming debate

In the email Dickerson told his recipients that Bachmann would likely receive very few questions during the debate because she’s “nearly off the charts” in popularity polls.

Bachmann’s campaign told the  Los Angeles Times that the email shows a “planned effort to limit questions” for the politicians.

In an email to supporters Bachmann’s campaign manager Keith Nahigian wrote:

“As Michele prepared her plans to debate on CBS, we received concrete evidence confirming what every conservative already knows—the liberal mainstream media elites are manipulating the Republican debates by purposely suppressing our conservative message.”

For their part CBS is sticking to their guns, in a public statement the company said the email was a:

“Candid exchange about the reality of the circumstances—Bachmann remains at 4% in the polls.”

The GOP polls have changed repeatedly over the last several months with new front runners constantly ahead in the polls, given that fact do you believe Michelle Bachmann should not have been targeted by CBS?

It will be interesting to see if Bachmann attempts to “cut in” as questions are being answered during the CBS debate.

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry appeared on the David Letterman show On Thursday night where he personally delivered the “Top 10 Rick Perry Excuses” for being unable to remember the three federal agencies he would get rid of.

When talking to Letterman during the segment it was funny to hear the GOP contender say so his lost moment of clarity:

“Hey, listen. You try concentrating with Mitt Romney smiling at you. That is one handsome dude.”

You may recall that during his GOP debate Perry could only remember two of the three agencies he would get rid of if elected president.

In case you were curious he would eliminate the Commerce, Education and Energy departments.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is preparing to make his starring TV debut in a new comedy series for CBS. Currently titled Douchebag (a fitting name for a Durst vehicle) the show is about a rock legend who is trying to find the balance between raising a family and being a celebrity.

According to Deadline Hollywood the show is being written by Mr. Sunshine scribe Matthew Carlson and it will be produced by the Tannenbaum Company.

Also involved in the project will be Durst’s manager/producer John Schneider who will be a non-writing producer. The move to bring Schneider on-board made sense since he already has a business relationship with CBS, CBS Studios and the Tannenbaums. John worked with his brother Rob Schneider to develop a family comedy for the network.

Douchebag, which may go by a different name before airing will debut early next year although an exact premiere date is not yet known.

Will you be tuning in to watch Fred Durst play an annoying celebrity that rubs a lot of people the wrong way? I think I already saw him play this role on a MTV’s  Total Request Live (TRL).

Mike & Molly (CBS, 9:30) is back for its second season premiere tonight on CBS. The sitcom stars a working-class Chicago couple who find love at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting, and this season starts as the titular pair adjust to being engaged.

I always found the show a little tame and old-fashioned, but also charming  and watchable, and its promotion of overweight characters to a title role should be applauded. Also, the first season saw lead Melissa McCarthy (Molly) grab a well-deserved Emmy win for best actress in a comedy.

For the last several years, Whitney Cummings was most famous for her raunchy jokes on the annual Comedy Central Roast. But the 29-year-old comedian’s career is taking off this Fall with two sitcoms.

Cummings co-created and co-produced “2 Broke Girls,” which premiered on Monday on CBS. “2 Broke Girls” brought in 19.2 million viewers to CBS. Her other show, “Whitney,” premiered on NBC last night. “Whitney” only pulled in 6.7 million viewers, but it was one of the most watched shows on NBC on Thursday night, beating out both “Community” and “Parks and Recreations.”

But Cummings doesn’t feel like she’s competing with herself.

The actress told the Associated Press:

“I don’t really think we’re competing, and they’re two different shows, although both of them I’m incredibly proud of.”

Cummings is working behind the scenes with ”Sex and the City” director and writer, Michael Patrick King.

“I don’t think anybody’s better at making comedy about women in New York, so I can’t wait to watch both of them.”

Cummings said:

It’s been an amazing week for actress Melissa McCarthy first she managed to walk away with an Emmy award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on the show Mike & Molly and now we’ve learned that she has sold a new sitcom to CBS.

According to TV.com, McCarthy will write and produce the new show which follows a woman in her 40s who begins going through a “spectacular midlife crisis.”

At this time very few other details are known about the series.

If you missed the Emmy’s last night the women nominated for the award all dashed onto the stage as their names were called and the category quickly turned into a “pageant” of sorts with McCarthy eventually sporting a tiara and the Emmy prize.

“Holy smokes. Wow, it’s my first and best pageant ever,” Melissa said after a standing ovation for her win, “I’m from Plainfield, Ill., and I’m standing here and it’s kind of amazing.”

The Emmy Awards could end up featuring more than awards and long acceptance speeches, there could be a few awkward situations with rumors circulating that Charlie Sheen will be in attendance.

According to The Hollywood Reporter Sheen could run into former Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer who is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor trophy and who Sheen called a “troll” after Cryer did not publicly support him during his now infamous meltdown.

Also expected to be in attendance is Ashton Kutcher, the man who took Sheen’s job when Warner Bros. and CBS fired the former star.

There’s a chance the show could go off without a Charlie Sheen meltdown, the actor has recently been making all of the standard rounds to late night talk shows and he appears to be clear headed or in the least well-medicated.

If Sheen doesn’t end up presenting a top prize at the Emmy’s fans of his career can still catch him the following night when the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen airs. Sheen did not submit his name for an award of his own, making him ineligible to be nominated.

While I’m a fan of watching Charlie Sheen completely lose his mind for the camera’s, I for one hope he will tone down his attitude for tonight’s award show and allow the Emmy’s to be the high brow event they aim to be.

The Emmy Awards are set to air live on Fox TV tonight from the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles.

The “manly men” theme for CBS’ hit series Two and a Half Men is one of the most recognizable TV show openings of recent memory and on Monday the show’s opening received an update, replacing Charlie Sheen with Ashton Kutcher for a new show preview.

The scene now features Angus T. Jones to the left (he use to be in the middle), Ashton Kutcher in the middle and Jon Cryer to the right.

Fans of the show will immediately realize that the song, while the same lyrics, has been redone to sound different thanks to a new studio band recording.

Jon Cryer has the goofiest smile, did you see his face at the end of the clip? If the new segment is any indication the show may be taking on a “lighter” feel than past episodes.

With the hype Ashton Kutcher has generated for CBS’ Two and a Half Men it shouldn’t surprise many people to discover that he is now the highest paid TV actor on the planet.

On average TV actors are paid a decent salary, starting at $125,000 per episode for prime-time shows on network television while cable networks are pushing that number up to $150,000 in various cases at the moment.

Even better is the cost networks will pay for hit show makers, for example Tim Allen and Kiefer Sutherland are both set to receive $225,000 per episode for their new soon to be released shows, while Ted Danson is earning $225,000 per episode on CSI, down from the $350,000 per episode Laurence Fishburne commanded.  Throw in at least 22 episodes per season on average and the money for many actors is better than doing one or two movies per year.

Ashton Kutcher however is in a league of his own, while he won’t be taking home the same $1.2 million per episode earned by Charlie Sheen for his work on Two and a Half Men, he’ll still be pulling in an impressive $700,000 per episode, making far more “top series” money than some TV veterans who worked for years to establish their shows.

While Ashton Kutcher is currently the highest paid TV star, his salary could soon be rivaled by Keith Olbermann who will earn $10 million per year at budding network Current TV. While Olbermann won’t earn more from his salary than Kutcher, he’s being given an equity stake in the network which could be worth hundreds of millions should the network reach the top echelon of cable network providers.

Fans of the hit CBS series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will see a familiar face on the show this fall with former series star Jorja Fox returning as a series co-starring regular.

Fox played forensic scientist Sara Sidle through the first seven seasons of the show before leaving during Season 8, briefly appearing as a guest on the show after her departure.

Jorja will star on the series, this time next to Ted Danson who recently replaced Laurence Fishburne as the head of the CSI investigation team as part of a 12th season series shakeup.

The veteran TV actress has also played Dr. Maggie Doyle on ER and Agent Gina Toscano on The West Wing.

You’ll also be able to catch Jorja on the big screen this year in the indie flick 3 weeks to Daytona which also stars actor Scott Cohen.

Ashton Kutcher will take over Charlie Sheen’s role on Two and a Half Men when the show returns to airwaves on 09.19.11 and in celebration of his role the men of the show, including Angus T. Jones and Jon Cryer have appeared half naked for a new promotional poster for the series.

The official promo was released by CBS with the words:

“All will be revealed…09.19.11.”

The studio says future promos may just switch up text for on the poster.

One question about the poster remains, why is the world did Jon Cryer decided to look down at Kutcher’s private parts and what’s with his look of disgust? Surely Kutcher couldn’t be any worse than Sheen.

At this time show creator Chuck Lorre is keeping the shows new concept under wraps, leading to wild speculation about Kutcher’s entrance and role on the show.

Ashton Kutcher will take over for Charlie Sheen on the CBS hit Two and a Half Men and he has received high praise from an unlikely source, Charlie Sheen!

Kutcher shot “semi” praises at Sheen first, announcing:

“I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes,” while  adding, “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”

Sheen then followed with:

“Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer … Oh wait, so am I!!” then adding “Enjoy the show America. Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there.”

Okay so it wasn’t just high praises for Kutcher, but Sheen didn’t call him a troll which in Sheen’s book is as close to winning as one person can get without having adonis blood.

Production on the ninth season begins this summer and as a That 70′s Show Fan I can’t wait to see Ashton Kutcher back in his natural environment.

With CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric stepping down from her anchor role, TV network CBS was hoping to keep Couric on their payroll with a new syndicated talk show, however negotiations are now rumored to have ended without a happy ending for the network.

According to CBS insiders, Couric wanted a heavy hand in the company’s news operations, however executives were only willing to give her bit pieces on their news magazine show 60 Minutes.

At this time Katie will part ways with CBS and another rumor is pointing to ABC as the possible future home for Couric, her new syndicated talk show and more than likely some type of involvement in their news operations.

Come back to the Today Show Katie, it will give me a reason to wake up a bit earlier from Monday through Friday.

In Sheen’s letter he said that the entire shows success was based on his performance and warns CBS and Warner Bros. that he is going to win his $100 million lawsuit.
