Jamie Lynn Spears has discussed her teenage pregnancy in a new interview with Glamour magazine.

The younger sister of Britney became pregnant aged 16, and soon left Hollywood to raise her daughter back home in Louisiana. Spears is back though, just two months shy of her 21st birthday and ready to make her return as a singer-songwriter.

In the Glamour interview, she talks about why she wasn’t on birth control while with her daughter’s father Casey Aldridge, the ways in which she and Britney bond over motherhood, and how she’ll always love Aldridge (even though the two split in February 2010). On the subject of birth control, Spears said:

“I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls, I was really scared to go to the doctor. And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control. I didn’t want to ask my doctor, because she had a little girl.”

She also discusses her decision to speak to OK! Magazine about her pregnancy (shocker: her explanation isn’t “for the money”):

“I knew I needed to give an explanation to my fans, and I wanted it to be in my words first. I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mothers who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy. [...] Was it hurtful for my parents to read stuff about their daughters? Yes. Obviously seeing Britney’s negative coverage, I knew how far it could go.”

In 2004 Britney Spears married longtime friend Jason Alexander in an overnight wedding in Las Vegas and now nearly 8 years later Alexander is speaking out about that short-lived arrangement, calling it “bullshit.”

Speaking to ABC’s 20/20 this week Jason says of his time with Britney:

“I was in love with her. … I feel like she felt the same way.”

He goes on to add that when Spear’s told her management team about the quickie wedding they weren’t happy in the least.

“They didn’t want to hear anything … and [Spears] came back, and it ended,” Alexander said. “That was pretty wild.”

In annulment papers filed shortly after the wedding it stated that Britney Spears:

“Lacked understanding of her actions, to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”

Likely translation: “Britney was too drunk to get married.”

Shortly after filing papers her marriage was annulled and became just another footnote in her very public breakdown which lasted until her transformation back into a pop star in 2011 thanks largely to her soon-to-be husband Jason Trawick and her father Jamie Spears.

Speaking of the situation Alexander now says:

“Bullsh-t. That was probably the hardest part about it. I had obviously got my feelings involved.”

The ABC hit comedy show “Modern Family” is no stranger to hilarious guest star cameos including David Cross, Shelley Long, and Nathan Lane, and now  quite possibly one of the biggest pop sensations we’ve seen — Britney Spears.

The news started when Britney tweeted on Tuesday about her love of the show: “I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV.”

As you can probably guess it took off from there. The Modern Family star actress Sofia Vargara retweeted Spears’ tweet, and soon after Vargara’s manager chimed in on the situation “@BritneySpears on Modern Family? What do you guys think?”

After that Britney responded with a very enthusiastic tweet “Ahhh I would love to be on it!”, which then prompted fans to start a rabid campaign #GetBritneyonModernFamily and resulted in a trend topic for the popular social networking site.

So far neither Britney’s camp or Modern Family’s officials have confirmed about the guest starring role, but you never know, odder things have happened, and “Modern Family” hasn’t been a show to shy away from anything out of the ordinary.

The show recently came under fire for showing a toddler curse in an episode, riling up anti-profanity crusaders across the globe.

Spears has dabbled in comedy before, guest starring on “Glee”, “How I Met Your Mother”, and “Will & Grace” just to name a few. As a child Spears was also featured on the hit relaunched variety show “The Mickey Mouse Club”.

Four years ago Britney Spears spiraled out of control to the point where a judge ordered her father as the conservator of her estate in 2008 and while Jamie Spears has been hailed as an excellent executor it now appears that he is preparing to hand over control of his daughters finance’s back to Britney.

According to the Daily Mail Britney Spears could be back in control of her own finances as early as February.

Reports state that her father believes that her life is back on track and that fiance Jason Trawick will keep her on the straight and narrow.

If all goes as planned Jamie Spears will let go of control over the estate before his daughter’s Hawaiian wedding that’s set to take place on Valentine’s Day.

According to a source close to the singer:

“Britney now recognizes that if her father hadn’t stepped in and taken action that he had, well … Britney is now crediting Jamie for saving her life.”

It’s hard to deny the work Jamie Spears has done to help his daughter, a judge agrees and recently awarded a large “bonus” payment to Jamie at the urging of Trawick and Britney.

News that the conservatorship would be pulled started in 2011 when a source told RadarOnline:

“After Britney’s tour concludes, which will be at the end of this year, her doctors and advisers are going to meet and confer about how much longer the conservatorship should go on for. There is a very good chance that a decision could be made to pull the plug in early 2012.”

Britney Spears posted pictures of her sons online this week. While the posting of celebrity children online isn’t something new it’s usually the sneaky paparazzi that snap up photos of celebrity’s children. Spears on the other hand has been at least slightly open about sharing photos over the years as her sons have grown alongside her in a very public spotlight.

After wrapping up her tour and getting engaged to boyfriend Jason Trawick spears took to the web to post a picture of sons Seasn Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5 as they played.

Writing about the first picture (shown above) Spears posted on her Facebook page on Wednesday:

“Jayden is having some hair-raising fun on the trampoline!”

Spears also took some time this week to post a picture of her “little Hercules” posing at his Gymnastics account. The “Hercules” post this time came courtesy of Britney’s Twitter account.

It appears to be a good time for Britney Spears, not only is she engaged to a man who many people have credited with helping turn her life around, but her ex-husband Kevin Federline even praised Jason Trawick and said in public that Britney is a great mom who cares deeply for her children.

While the next big celebrity breakdown is always just around the corner I have a sneaking suspicion we should just focus on energy on Lindsay Lohan for the time being because Britney Spears seems on the surface at least to finally have her life together.

With Britney Spears and Jason Trawick officially announcing their engagement it was only a matter of time before the pop star’s ex-husband Kevin Federline chimed in.

According to Federline, 33, his ex-wife (they divorced in 2006) is in a “good place” and he adds “She’s Happy.”

Kevin goes on to tell Australia’s TV Week magazine:

“She’s doing really well … [The engagement] is a good step in the right direction. I’m totally happy for her.”

Federline continued his compliments by noting that under her care both Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, are doing well in school and that her new fiancé is a welcomed addition for the family.

“I think he’s a great guy,” Federline says. “The kids speak highly of him. Her family loves him.”

In a surprising admission he also told People that his heart was “torn to pieces” by his ex-wife’s public meltdown and continuing struggle that lasted very publicly for several years before her father Jamie Spears took control of her estate and Jason Trawick stepped in to help get her life back on schedule.

With her finances in order and being closely monitored, along with a comeback steadily moving forward Spears appears to be getting back to her pre-meltdown level of fame, throw in what appears to be a solid relationship with her ex-husband and it looks like the days of crazy Britney may be over for a while.

Britney Spears is engaged! The singer posted a mysterious Facebook message last night and today her new fiance Jason Trawick confirmed the wedding rumors.

Spears bought Trawick a brand new motorcycle for his 40th birthday, but apparently Trawick had a present for Spears as well. According to Access Hollywood, Trawick proposed to Spears and the singer said yes. A source told People Magazine:

“He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night.”

Trawick confirmed the rumors this morning when he told Billy Bush:

“Yes, we are engaged. (Britney Spears) is over the moon.”

Spears stirred speculation last night when she wrote on her Facebook page.

“OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you!” she wrote. “SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo”

People reports that Spears and Trawick will be celebrating their engagement tonight in Las Vegas. Will Britney and Trawick be getting married this weekend in sin city?

Jason has been working as Spears’ manager for a long time now, but he gave the job up in 2009 when they became romantically involved.

This will be Spears’ third marriage. Britney married Jason Alexander in 2004. The marriage was one of the shortest celebrity marriages as it only lasted 55 hours. Spears married Kevin Federline later that year. The two divorced in 2007.

Multiple sources have revealed to TMZ that Jason was planning to pop the question on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

Apparently the engagement proposal isn’t a surprise and Spears has known for a while that Jason wants to get married and is ready to ask for her hand in marriage.

The marriage proposal has also been given the stamp of approval by Britney’s conservators and it’s believed the judge in the conservatorship will also give a stamp of approval.

In further Trawick news it turns out he chose the old fashioned route, asking Jamie Spears for his daughters hand in marriage.

According to sources there will most definitely be a prenup involved with the marriage.

In news that makes me feel older than Moses, Britney Spears turned 30 on Friday. THIRTY. I don’t even know where the past fourteen years went since that video, but went they did.

The singer celebrated her big day on Friday in charmingly understated fashion, trying a bit of ice-skating in Houston with boyfriend Jason Trawick. But as she enjoyed her modest celebrations, celebrities were queuing up to congratulate her. On Celebuzz, professional non-entity Kim Kardashian wrote:

“Happy birthday to the beautiful Miss Britney Spears! Welcome to the 30′s club, Brit!! I wish you all the best for this next year and beyond. You’re going to love your 30′s! I love you and hope you have a magical day.”

Reportedly, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga phoned Spears on Friday, and the Twittersphere was crammed with slebs writing sloppy remarks. Nicki Minaj, Lance Bass (who called Spears “grandma” – oh, my sides), Rihanna, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Pauly D, Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus and Christina Aguilera all sent messages of goodwill.

A few even got replies. Ryan Seacrest wrote: “7 years and so many frosted tips later, we’re both finally 30!” and Spears responded with, “Next step for you are extensions!” OH YOU GUYS.

The pop star also replied to Aguilera, tweeting her, “Thank you girl. Max is so cute! Miss you. Xxoo.” People reports the singer read her many messages in bed, accompanied by sons Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5.

Alas, there’s no rest for the wicked – Spears resumes her South American tour on Saturday, and is playing a free show in Mexico City the day after. The weekend after, her world tour concludes. Happy belated birthday, Ms. Spears.

Jamie Spears, father of pop star Britney Spears has earned a small fortune for taking charge and managing his daughters Femme Fatale Tour.

TMZ has obtained court documents that reveal a one time payout base salary of $537,987.37 for Jamie’s work on his daughters tour. The judge overlooking Spear’s conservatorship case also allowed Spears’ personal manager Larry Rudolph to give Jamie 20% of his 10% commission because Jamie did so much work on the tour to keep everything moving smoothly.

When all is said and done it’s believed that Jamie Spears will earn a 7-figure payday for all his work during the tour.

Unlike other celebrities parents (Dina Lohan comes to mind) Jamie has been working in his daughters best interest rather than accepting handouts. In fact Jamie was doing the work of 5 people which has helped save Britney more than $1 million in salaries.

Jamie Spears has been so effective in keeping his daughters career in check that he has asked a judge to extend his conservatorship so he can receive his $16,000 per month salary indefinitely.

Howie Dorough will be supporting Spears on her “Femme Fatale” tour next month, opening her shows with tracks from his solo debut album and maybe – is it too much to dream? – Everybody (disclaimer: probably just writer’s wishful thinking)

Specifically, the singer will open for Britney on all of her South American dates, from November 20th to 28th. Earlier today he gibbered on Twitter (twibbered?):

“I’m so excited that I’m going [to be] joining @britneyspears on several dates of the Femme Fatale tour! Can’t wait to see all my lovelies in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela!! VIP info will be coming next week.”

Dorough is releasing a solo album, “Back to Me,” on November 15th, but will rejoin Backstreet Boys after his Britney dates for a December performance in the Bahamas. That BB show will mark the return of fifth member Kevin Richardson, who has recently made noises about performing with the group on a more regular basis.

Beyond December, Backstreet Boys are due to resume their European tour with New Kids on the Block, starting in spring 2012. Collectively, they are to be known as ‘NKOTBSB,’ which could be the catchiest acronym I’ve ever read.

They still make Pop Up Videos? Apparently VH1 had a hard time finding good trivia for Britney Spears’ “I’m A Slave 4 U,” but after a decade of waiting, the video is finally here.

“I’m a Slave 4 U” was released in 2001 on Spears’ third studio album, Britney. The song reached number twenty-seven on the Hot 100 chart and number eighty-five on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

“I’m a Slave 4 U” may be a decade old, but it still finds its way into pop culture. Fox recently recreated the song on the hit show Glee.

Britney Spears doesn’t have the same pull she once had over fans during her world tours, at least that appears to be the case in the UK where her Birmingham concert slated for October 30 has failed to sell out or even come close to selling out.

While Spears would have had no problem selling out the 16,000 seat LG Arena in her early days one ticket seller says of the current ticket sales situation:

“It’s probably about half-full. There’s good availability.”

The lack of buyers comes after 500 standing tickets remain unsold and 11 entire seat blocks are still available even after promoters dropped ticket pricing from £30 down from £55 through social selling website Groupon.

Speaking about the Groupondeal concert promoter LiveNation said:

 “Offering a deal on Groupon is not a reflection of the quality or status or sales of a show.”

Promoters haven’t even been able to give away tickets through their buy 10 get two free deal.

Called her “flashiest show” yet by Rolling Stone the Femme Fatale concert tour includes eight UK dates.

Would you be willing to purchase 10 Britney Spears tickets just to get two free? That deal seems more like a win for ticket brokers than fans who might want to attend the concert with 11 of their closest friends.

The former Calabasas, California rental home of pop star Britney Spears is being put up on the auction block this week. The Chateau Suenos sits on one acre of land and was decked out with $700,000 in lavish upgrades during Spears’ two year stay at the home.

In April 2011 the homes owner Jose “Pancho” Leon attempted to list the property for $10.8 million but received no offers for the estate. The home will now go to auction with a starting bid of $4.499 million, 58% of the homes original asking price.

Mr. Leon says the home is not in foreclosure:

“I know that I’ll be selling at a loss but I want to move on.”

The home was built in 2007 and features seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a wine cellar, home theater and maid quarters. The winning buyer will also receive a guest house, pool and mosaic tile infinity spa with a subterranean garage that comes equipped with two hydraulic car lifts.

The homes most sought after feature though appears to be it’s exclusivity since the home sits behind a gated complex called “The Oaks” which is considered “paparazzi proof” since visitors must pass through two security gates to entire the community.

Prospective buyers must have financing in place and undergo a vetting process before they can attend the auction which will happen on November 11.  Buyers are also required to bring a $100,000 cashier’s check to place their first bid.

Neighbors of the Chateau Suenos estate include Cameron Diaz and Lady Gaga.

Britney Spears may have just won an award for a career filled with music videos, but the pop singer is still going strong. After winning the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and the Best Pop Video award for her single “Til The World Ends,” Britney Spears revealed the next single from her Femme Fatale album.

Spears told MTV News that her next single would be “Criminal.”

Britney said:

“I don’t if I’m at liberty to tell. But I will anyways: It’s ‘Criminal.’”

Spears has been getting a little more creative with her music videos lately, like her satirical “I Wanna Go,” but Spears didn’t say which direction she would go with “Criminal.”

Spears said:

“Actually the song, when I first heard it, it’s really different and it’s not anything I’ve heard like this before. So I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You’ll have to see.”

Could “Criminal” win Britney another Moonman at the 2012 VMAs? It’s a little slower and more personal than her last few singles, but judging by her video track record, “Criminal” should be a pretty cool video. If you haven’t heard it yet, here’s the song sans video.

Britney Spears didn’t give a release date for her next single, but she’ll probably finish it up after she gets back from the Europe leg of her “Femme Fatale” tour. Will it be better than her award winning video for “Til’ The World Ends,” from this year’s VMAs? We’ll have to wait and see.

Britney Spears got her straight at a very young age, and it looks like Jamie Lynn Spears‘ daughter is looking to get an even earlier start at the age of three.

Maddie Briann made her singing debut over on YouTube over the weekend with a cover of her aunt’s tune “Up N’ Down”. It’s probably not the most appropriate thing for a kid to be singing, but darn if it isn’t still cute.

“OMG! Check out my niece Maddie covering Aunt Britney’s Up N Down,” Britney Spears said of her niece’s debut. “Sooooo adorable!”

Up N’ Down is a bonus track from Britney Spears’ seventh studio album, Femme Fatale, released on March 25. Since the album’s release, Femme Fatale has gone on to sell over half a million copies, over 200,000 of which was sold in the first week alone.

Leave Britney alone, Fernando Flores!

The ex-cop, no longer in Spears’ employ, has alleged a litany of bizarre, questionably relevant and undeniably unflattering things against the singer in what may be the meanest lawsuit ever filed. Flores, who claims that Spears insisted subordinates call her “Queen Bee,” didn’t pull any punches in his official descriptions of working conditions alongside the pop star.

Flores not only claims Spears regularly abused a long list of serious drugs (including methamphetamines)- he also says the entertainer’s personal hygiene habits were lacking enough to create what amounts to a hostile working environment. When not seducing Flores, per his account, Spears allegedly spent the bulk of her free time just being gross:

…the former bodyguard ratcheted up his charges against the Toxic singer, claiming she broke wind and picked her nose “unapologetically,” did not shower for days on end, nor brushed her teeth or ever wore deodorant.

“Spears was generally personally unkempt,” Flores, 29, alleged.

Flores was free in his critique, continuing in court papers:

“She broke wind or picked her nose unselfconsciously and unapologetically before Plaintiff (Flores) and others and she was constantly and gratuitously loud and profane in her speech.

“She did not bathe for days on end, did not use deodorant, did not brush her teeth, did not fix her hair, did not wear shoes or socks.”

If true, the infrequent bathing and dental hygiene is certainly gross- but it sounds a bit like Flores has some very specific (and maybe sexist) ideas of how a female should behave. According to the suit, the ex-bodyguard experienced anxiety, insomnia, depression and lasting psychological damage because of the treatment he received at the hands of Britney Spears.

Britney Spears sports pink hair extensions, beats the paparazzi with a microphone and drops the f-bomb in this new music video for her new single ‘I Wanna Go’ from ‘Femme Fatale’.

To put it lightly, this is easily Britney Spears‘ wildest music video yet — she cops a feel on a random passerby, flashes a husband and son on the streets and, again, attacks the paparazzi with a microphone. Paparazzi that happen to be Terminators, I might add.

Britney Spears is being sued by Brand Sense Partners for $10 million after she allegedly cut the company out of an exclusive deal with Elizabeth Arden.

The company filed the $10 million lawsuit against the pop star and soon afterwards her lawyers shot back, claiming that she can’t be deposed because she’s not competent enough. Brit’s lawyers point out that she is under a conservatorship and can’t be forced to testify without the approval of a qualified conservatorship’s attorney.

According to TMZ:
