Since Pitt announced his relationship with Jolie in 2005 and ended his five-year marriage to Aniston, the gutter press has peddled the idea that Pitt and Aniston can’t stand one another – despite both actors denying this time and time again.

This latest denial from Aniston is, sadly, unlikely to have much effect on the media myth machine, but I give her ten points for trying:

“The triangle with my ex-husband, and that there’s a feud there, it’s constant. It’s a story headline that won’t go away, but it’s a money thing – (people make money from) a story that has nothing to do with reality.”

A fact often ignored by the hacks who write about Aniston is that she’s been in a long-term relationship with actor/screenwriter Justin Theroux – indeed, it looks like marriage may not be far away.

Newt Gingrich was talking on a radio show on Monday when he was asked by the radio show host who he would most like to play him should a movie about his life ever be told,  the GOP presidential hopefuls answer? Brad Pitt.

Gingrinch responded quickly to the question with:

“Brad Pitt … why not?”

At least in the modesty department Gingrich was able to admit that they look nothing alike:

“He’s thinner, he’s better looking, he’s younger. But … why not go for Brad Pitt? You gotta relax and just, you know, let your imagination soar.”

It’s funny because the moment I thought about who would play Newt Gingrich I thought Andy Richter would be my number one guess and after looking around the web it turns out quite a few other writers gave the same answer.  Perhaps Conan O’Brien could play Mitt Romney. In the meantime I’m not sure if that thought is mean to Gingrich or Richter.

I’m sure at this point with Mitt Romney soaring ahead in the polls and winning Florida that Newt Gingrich would even be willing to settle for Brad Pitt’s endorsement.

After slightly over six years together, seven children, separation rumors, and enough media scrutiny in print to fill the Library of Congress, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might just be finally ready to tie the knot, according to Pitt.

Though Brangelina have spent much of their time together denying rumors of marriage, putting the date off nebulously into the somewhere-time when homosexual couples are allowed marital union, Pitt opened up in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, admitting, among other things, that marriage between the two may finally be a possibility.

“We’d actually like to” get married, says Pitt, “and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it ’til everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”

In 2008, the couple announced the birth of #6 and #7, twins, in the Brangelina caravan. Though they haven’t had any children since twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, Pitt admits the two might not be done having children just yet – though they may go back to the adoption route.

“We haven’t closed the book on it,” he says. “There’s a really nice balance in the house right now, but if we see the need and get that lightning bolt that says, ‘We can help this person; we could do something here,’ then absolutely.”

Once again, Pitt distanced himself from his life int he 90′s.

“I got really sick of myself,” he says. “I was hiding out from the celebrity thing; I was smoking way too much dope; I was sitting on the couch and just turning into a doughnut; and I really got irritated with myself.”

It’s hard to imagine Pitt shopping for bargains on eBay. However, Angelina Jolie has the bragging rights, having won the Stanley Kramer Award for her directorial debut, “In the Land of Blood and Honey”. Brad Pitt, on the other hand, has produced many a film, including his most recent hit “Moneyball”. On the difference between directing and producing, Jolie said:

“I had to direct, I think it’s different. I think he’d execute properly if he was the director. But I do like to think of myself as decisive, so I’ll take that.”

Discussing the motivation of directing a film about the Bosnian War, Angelina Jolie said that it wasn’t her intention “to make a political statement against anybody. It was simply to say, ‘We must talk about what happened, we must try to learn from what happened, we must try to see humanity on all sides,’ and if we can, then we can start to move forward.”

“In the Land of Blood and Honey” has had a mixed reaction from critics, and it’s currently at 52% on Rotten Tomatoes. See below for the trailer.

There’s a new rumor floating around about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The power couple are adding another member to their family as Angelina is reportedly three months pregnant.

According to OK Magazine, the news is no longer a rumor but absolute truth. A source told OK!:

“She’s almost three months along. It’s not something she wants to officially announce but she’s at a point where she is telling a select group of people.”

Angelina is delighted about the pregnancy but the source says that she could do without the morning sickness. The source said:

“Angelina is really savouring every moment. She’s having a tough time with morning sickness but says its all worth it.”

The Telegraph reports that Pitt and Jolie are already biological parents to three children, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. Brad and Angelina have also adopted three children,  Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

During Jolie’s last pregnancy, she said:

“I love being pregnant. You feel like more like a woman than you’ve ever felt. You just feel like everything about your body is there for your baby.”

Pitt and Jolie have reportedly built a new nursery for their child. The all-white room will have a zen-like feeling “because (Jolie) believes in the mind-body connection and wants her mind at peace,” the source said.

Perhaps better known in recent years for her large brood and relationship with fellow A-lister Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie is set to make a splash as her new film In the Land of Blood and Honey opens to wider audiences in the United States.

With the film, Jolie took on writing and directorial responsibilities- but the actress says it’s not a vanity project and that she just wanted to make the film, assuming the roles because there was no one else to do so. In the Land of Blood and Honey is by no means light fare- the film covers wartime conflict in the early 90′s in Bosnia, and the stunning violence that occurred during that time. Jolie acknowledges as much, saying that her intent with much of the film was to inspire the same discomfort she felt when seeing the effects of unrest firsthand:

“The crux of the story was my frustration with lack of intervention… I spent so much time with people in post-conflict situations where I wish I could just turn back the clock, before they were so scarred, and before so many losses…. if you’re watching the film, you’re thinking, ‘Can somebody please stop this? It’s getting worse, I want to get out of this theater, I just want to get out of here!’”

Of exploring different roles on set, Jolie told fans during a web chat Thursday night that the transition was far from seamless. She spoke of having a bit of a crisis of confidence and seeking comfort from Pitt as she struggled to bring the story to the silver screen:

“I had a complete emotional breakdown in the shower and Brad found me crying. I felt this huge responsibility and I felt very small. I thought, ‘Who am I to take this on?’…I had a complete meltdown.”

In the Land of Blood and Honey is up for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film this Sunday.

Brad Pitt is sporting a fashion accessory these days that doesn’t really fit into his designer clothing choices. The actor was spotted with a cane at the 23rd annual Palm Springs Film Festival awards gala on Saturday.

It turns out the 48-year-old actor needed the cane to stabilize his leg after an ACL injury. The injury occurs when the ligament in the knee that connects the femur with the tibia is torn.

When asked about the injury Brad Pitt reveals:

“I was carrying my daughter [Vivienne] down the hill and I slipped,” and “It was either her or me.”

Pitt revealed that the injury wasn’t bad enough to require surgery but did note that the cane may be sticking around for a while to ensure a full recovery.

Angelina Jolie in the meantime revealed to reports on the red carpet:

“I like the cane.” She also revealed that the injury hasn’t slowed him down, “He’s not that kind of guy. He does everything still.”

What really matters though is that Brad Pitt accomplished his goal of keeping the couple’s 3-1/2-year old safe, when asked about her daughter Jolie responded.

“Vivie’s okay,” and “She was absolutely fine.”

We knew it was only a matter of time before such a big brood wore down mommy or daddy a little bit, we just didn’t think it would result in the use of a cane for an undisclosed amount of time.

Angelina Jolie just bought Brad Pitt a waterfall as a 48th birthday and Christmas present. As you do.

Brad’s new water feature is located in California, and will soon take center-stage in a new home Pitt is planning to build. The actor hopes to construct a house over the waterfall that is inspired by his favorite architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. A source told the Daily Mail:

“Brad has dreamed of a home with the sound of a waterfall cascading under the house. He wants to pull all aspects of nature, light, glass and varying levels into the concept. Angelina wanted to get him something incredibly special and, because she knows how much he loves architecture, she thought this would be perfect. This is the present to top all presents.”

Specifically, Pitt wants to emulate Frank Lloyd Wright’s ‘Fallingwater’ home, as seen below in all its envy-inducing glory. This was completed in 1939 in Pennsylvania:

Not too shabby, eh? Apparently Pitt and the 36-year-old Jolie are seeking a private spot where they can hole up with their six children, away from intruding paparazzi lenses. Jolie and Pitt first visited Lloyd Wright’s iconic house in 2006.

Fortunately for the Hollywood couple, who must be struggling to make ends meet, they recently sold their humble Malibu mansion to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.

The beachfront home cost the couple a cool $12 million – quite a drop from their $49m dollar first home, which was put on the market in 2010.

Pitt originally bought the mansion for $4.8 million in 2005, after separating with Jennifer Aniston. He listed the home last year for $13.5 million.

What did DeGeneres, 53, and de Rossi, 38, get for their clams? Well, the home is said to have four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 4,000 square feet of space. The abode  overlooks the Pacific Ocean and includes a pool and tennis court.

The property also boasts private beach access, and includes two separate houses.

According to a source close to the couple:

“It was a quick transaction and Brad’s stuff is already out. Ellen and Portia would like to start using the house immediately.”

Speaking of the kids, they’re developing into enthusiastic travelers, according to the actress:

“I will listen, as my mother would have, to them and if they start to complain about it … right now they love it.  If they’re in one place for two months they want to know why we’re not getting on an airplane. They’re such a big travelling pack it’s not one child moving around the world and missing friends. Because we have travelled a lot, we’re kind of lucky in that we have friends around the world, so if we end up in Budapest or Germany or Africa or Vietnam, they actually call their friends.”

She also predicted her kids would settle in many different countries, telling Cooper her old age with Pitt would be spent, “traveling around the world to try to visit our children in random countries.”

As their brood continues to grow the children of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have begun to ask mom and dad why they haven’t gotten married.

In an interview with Nightline the 36-year-old Jolie reveals:

“They have asked, yeah, because … people get married in the movies,” adding ”Shrek and Fiona are married, you know?”

Jolie for her part says she has been teaching her children that you don’t have to be married to be in a loving committed relationship. In the interview she says:

“We’ve explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have,” she says. “Once you have six children, you’re committed.”

Jolie says she jokes with her kids about marriage, recently asking them if they just wanted her to get married so they could eat a big cake at the wedding reception.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appear to have a regular relationship, at least by Hollywood standards and there are rumors circulating that another child is on the way for the happy couple, that should be enough commitment for anyone.

George Clooney’s had a productive 2011. The 50-year-old actor starred in, directed, produced, and co-wrote political drama The Ides of March, and has a new film, The Descendants, opening on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Yet to his credit, the actor-director-producer-writer-tea boy (probably) still has time to sit down and watch the work of others. Speaking to The Envelope, Clooney talked about the performances and films he’s loved this year, revealing:

“Jean Dujardin [in The Artist]. Because it’s not just the style of the film, it’s that his performance was so elegant and fun. He just jumps off the screen, and he’s so good, and I thought that was a spectacular performance.”

The Artist, a black-and-white silent film set in 1920s and ’30s Hollywood, is gaining plaudits by the bushelful right now from the critics, but audiences will have to wait until November 25th before it hits theaters.

Clooney also had some kind words for his friend and Oceans Thirteen co-star Brad Pitt (who will be no doubt relieved to know I agree with Clooney – Pitt’s a sorely underestimated actor):

“You know what [else] I just saw that I really liked — I thought I’d like it anyway because they’re all friends of mine — but I really liked ‘Moneyball.’ You know I’m still a baseball nut. It’s really good. Brad [Pitt] is one of those actors that I think is always sort of underestimated … and the truth is he’s really good in that movie.”

There has been a lot of unwanted action on the set of Brad Pitt’s new movie World War Z. Last month Pitt had to rescue an extra who almost got trampled by zombies, and this weekend an anti-terroist unit raided the movie’s warehouse and confiscated more than 85 weapons.

And this isn’t just some crazy mishap where authorities thought the movie props were real guns. No, the guns that were confiscated by the Hungarian anti-terrorism unit were fully functional. The Huffington Post notes that some were even loaded.

Hajdu Janos, the director of Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit, told US Weekly:

“Guns like these are highly illegal to transport even if they were to used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.”

The magazine reports that the SWAT team raided a Budapest warehouse that housed weapons for the movie on Monday. Most of the weapons confiscated were automatic, military-style assault rifles.

A source from the movie said that the guns were delivered without the consent of the Anti-Terrorism Unit and that the guns came with paperwork saying that they were non-functional guns.

Janos said that they are currently interrogating personnel to get to the bottom of the incident.

Brad Pitt, whose company Plan B Entertainment is producing World War Z, is supposedly furious over the incident. World War Z is already over budget and behind schedule. The movie is expected to be released this December.

Do you think this was an honest mistake? Should Brad Pitt be thanking his lucky stars that the SWAT team did find the guns? Otherwise, a real gun may have been used as a prop and someone may have been hurt or killed.

Brad Pitt spoke with NPR this week and he let it slip that the smash hit Inglourious Basterds could be getting a sequel from director Quentin Tarantino.

When talking about the scar on his characters face during the movie Pitt revealed:

“[Tarantino] said it would never be explained in [Inglourious Basterds] and if he ever does what he called a prequel-slash-sequel, then we’ll reveal it then,” he told Fresh Air. “He talks about [a sequel], but he’s got several things percolating at once.”

The idea that a prequel or sequel of some sort would arrive at some point in the future shouldn’t shock fans of the first movie, especially when considering it was Tarantino’s biggest blockbuster to date having earned more than $320 million worldwide.

Tarantino for his part revealed plans for a sequel in 2009 when he told Vulture that he was already 40 pages into the next chapter.

In the meantime Quentin is working on Django Unchained with Jamie Fox.

Would you be willing to head back into the theater to see a sequel or perhaps even a prequel for Inglourious Basterds? I personally felt that Tarantino didn’t wrap up enough at the end of the movie or provide enough back story when it began so either way I would be happy to see another installment from the past or moving forward with other characters.

Despite amazing reviews and positive word of mouth Brad Pitt’s Money Ball wasn’t able to beat an old time favorite this weekend at the box office. The Lion King 3D took in $22.1 million from Friday to Sunday for a cumulative re-released total of $61.7 million while Money Ball earned $20.6 million.

Originally released in 1994 The Lion King is the highest grossing animated move of all time with more than $860 million earned worldwide. The movie has also inspired one of the most successful broadway shows of all time and a product line that still exists to this very day.

The funny part about the re-release is that the movie was only meant to be used as a limited-time release to promote the film’s DVD/Blu-Ray 3D release that will arrive in October.  That limited release is likely to last longer given the successful run the movie has been experiencing.

Many of my friends took their children to see the movie over the last two weekends as they introduced their children to a beloved story from their own childhood and teenage years, I can’t say it surprises me that the movie fared so well.

Given the choice would you rather go and see Money Ball or The Lion King 3D?

Brad Pitt may play Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane in the new movie Moneyball, and he may be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, but that doesn’t mean he knows a thing about baseball. In fact, Pitt admitted in the latest issue of SI that his baseball knowledge is practically non-existent.

Pitt said:

 “It’s shameful how little I know about baseball – I’m amazed they let me do this movie. Baseball and I didn’t get along that well. I wrestled one year [in high school]. I dove one year. Everything but baseball.”

But that doesn’t mean that Pitt isn’t a baseball fan. Pitt said:

“I was just happy to do Sports Illustrated. To do something other than the fashion-y things, for something I respect, is much more fun.”

The Style Bistro notes that Brad Pitt is one of only a few other non-athletes to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated. He joins the exclusive company Mark Wahlberg, Arnold Schwarzenegger, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Stephen Colbert, Ed Sullivan, Steve McQueen, and very few others.

Moneyball tells the story of Billy Beane as he transforms the A’s into a top competitor without opening his checkbook too wide. As most managers turned toward scouts to recruit top young talent, Beane used a computer-generated analysis to draft his players.

As fans of Max Brooks’ modern zombie classic World War Z await the film adaptation eagerly, shooting continues in Glasgow on the flick.

And if you’re one of the zombie-lovers excited to see the movie version of bestseller- an undead epic set after a worldwide pandemic of walking dead- then you probably know it stars Brad Pitt. Pitt’s role in the film isn’t very clearly defined to fans yet, but the actor did get to play a hero recently while crew shot scenes for World War Z in Scotland.

During filming in George’s Square in Glasgow, an extra- one of 700- was knocked to the ground during a melee. And quite like the stampedes you might see in a zombie flick, the woman was nearly trampled by her hundreds of co-stars. Although the woman didn’t get to spend too long with Pitt, he did manage to pick her up and dust her off after she was knocked to the ground in the chaos:

“Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped,” an insider told the paper. “I don’t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up.

“He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly grazed knee.”

The scene being shot was an “epic battle scene,” with hundreds of cast and crew milling about during filming. The film’s staff have since briefly paused filming to carry out a “safety talk,” as a few of the extras suffered minor abrasions during the incident.

Actors Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill share the cover of New York magazine’s Fall preview issue which hits newsstands this week and yes Hill fans that really is the comedian sans a ton of weight loss.

The Moneyball co-stars took some time out of their busy schedules to speak with New York with Pitt revealing why he became obsessed with the movies storyline:

“I saw it as a story about justice. How is a team with a $40 million payroll going to compete with a team with a $140 million payroll and another $100 million in reserves? Any talent they grow is going to get poached by the rich teams. That became really interesting to me.”

Pitt also shared his view on Jonah’s role in the film:

“Jonah’s a revelation in this thing – he’s a study in reserve. I think the most interesting work that’s been going on in the last couple of years is what the comedy guys have been doing. Guys like Jonah and Russell Brand and [Seth] Rogen and a few others … they picked up on an irreverence that started with Adam Sandler and continued with Will Ferrell, but they’ve been grounding it in a kind of pathos and humanity. I find it really strong work.”

After a devastating tornado tore through Joplin, Missouri $3 billion in damages were left in the wake with 10% of the areas buildings destroyed  and now we have learned that actor Brad Pitt is helping with cleanup and recovery efforts, donating $500,000 of his own fortune to help residents in the area.

Pitt is originally from Springfield, Missouri and was quick to react through the Joli-Pitt foundation, providing his half a million dollar donation to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks a foundation focused on rebuilding the Joplin community.

Pitt told a local reporter in Joplin:

“With the devastating loss of 30% of the city, the Joplin community faces great challenges ahead. Having spent much of my childhood there, I know these people to be hard working, humble and especially resilient.”

Charitable organizations all over the country have been working continuously to help the residents of Joplin and Pitts donation will go a long way in those efforts.

The Brad Pitt, Sean Penn acted and Terrence Malick directed film “Tree Of Life” took the top prize at this years Cannes Film Festival.

The festivals top prize, known as the Palme d’Or was announced by this years festival chair Robert De Niro with two producers from the movie accepting the award.

Pitt was not in attendance as wife Angelina Jolie, Pitt and the entire Pitt-Jolie crew flew home to Hollywood for the premiere of Jolie’s newest animated adventure Kung Fu Panda 2.

Another notable win fell into the lap of Kirsten Dunst for best actress, apparently her director (Lars von Trier) and his recently announced love for Hitler didn’t deter judges from her excellent performance.
