A prominent Boston physician was arrested and charged with receipt of child pornography Thursday, NBC News reports.

Richard Keller, who served as medical director for the prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover for almost two decades, had between 60 and 100 DVDs and 500 high-gloss photos of child pornography in his home, according to the US Attorney’s Office in Boston. Keller is also a pediatric endocrinologist at Children’s Hospital and a pediatrics instructor at Harvard Medical School. He left his position at Phillips Academy in 2011 after 19 years.

There have been no complaints of inappropriate behavior from any of Keller’s patients or their family members, Children’s Hospital said in a statement. He has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation.

The US Postal Inspection Service, as well as other federal investigators, had begun investigating a movie production company that streamed movies and sold DVDs online. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cyber TipLine received more than 20 complaints that the company was selling child pornography.

The 56-year-old doctor’s name was found in the company’s customer database. One of the two addresses listed for Keller was the Isham Student Health Center at Phillips Academy. He had purchased more than 50 pornographic films for $2,695. Most of the films in Keller’s possession featured young boys.

The prep school issued a brief statement saying it was fully assisting prosecutors and would brief the school community in the days ahead.

Notable alumni of Phillips Academy include George H.W. and George W. Bush, actor Jack Lemmon, actress Olivia Wilde, novelist Julia Alvarez, and Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes.

If convicted, Richard Keller will face a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in prison, followed by up to lifetime supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
