Fox News and Bill O’Reilly are gloating over the numbers they got during the 8 o’clock slot over the news of the Ft. Hood shootings, saying that they wiped out CNN and MSNBC. Even scarier is that they seem to be under the impression that they are now the new voice of the news.

“We did 5 million viewers at 8 O’Clock, wiped out CNN and MSNBC, wiped them off the face of the earth. The guard has changed in this country. The media guard has changed. And you know why people came in here, because they knew they were going to get an honest story. They weren’t going to get spin that Hasan is some kind of post-traumatic syndrome victim. Some kind of victim of a terrible public policy gone awry. They’re not going to get that….. I almost said a bad word. They’re not going to get that garbage here.”

If Fox News is the new guard of the old media then we are in for a boatload of trouble. Any shadow of old media impartiality just flew out the window.

Conservapundit Bill O’Reilly expressed support for a public option on his show last night, like it was no big deal, like people aren’t biting each other’s fingers off over the whole debacle.

LOGICAL: Bill O’Reilly on Guitar Hero ad’s “nudity”

Political commentator and beacon of fair, balanced journalism Bill O’Reilly has got his panties in a real bunch over a viral advert for Guitar Hero 5, which features what he terms “nudity.”

The O’Reilly Factor host described the ad as “shameless promotion,” and dubbed the female models “pinheads.” Publisher Activision is yet to comment, so allow us to do that for them: “LOL.” Here’s O’Reilly flapping his gums and replaying the “shameless” advert in question on his own show. You know, just so his viewers are informed. Way to take a stand, Bill.

Even by O’Reilly’s dazzling standards, this is crazy talk. For one, you’d see more flesh if the girls were wearing bikinis, while Bill is happy to overlook the “naked” guy who arrives shortly after, quickly becoming the focus of the advert. Conveniently, the producers cut that part out. Here’s the advert in full:

So I think we all know the biggest question raised by this, and that is: is O’Reilly actually on Activision’s payroll? Because this is the second Guitar Hero ad that’s enjoyed publicity from bleating Billy.

Bill O’Reilly rips Michael Jackson (video)

Bill O’Reilly waited until Michael Jackson was completely dead and buried to spit on his grave, launching an amazing attack on his show last night.

In his Talking Points Memo segment, O’Reilly said he was “fed up with the adulation” and “phony platitudes” of the Jackson memorial service, and labeled the sentiments expressed by the participants as “pathetic in the extreme.” O’Reilly also claims that the attention Jackson’s death received “illustrates just how crazy the USA is becoming..a cowardly media will exploit any event for ratings.” As opposed to a coward who waits until someone dies to attack them….

After attacking Jackson for spending money on himself while singing “We are the World,” O’Reilly went straight to race, saying Michael Jackson wasn’t an African American icon because he bleached his skin and has white children.

I may not be the hugest Michael Jackson fan, but I know its poor to speak of the dead, something Bill doesn’t seem to understand. Here’s the Bill O’Reilly Michael Jackson video:

The chicken police come to the rescue

Looks like someone called the chicken police. According to the synopsis for this video, “two rabbits get out of hand on the ol’ farm and the chicken police have to step in. Constable Cluckers and Sheriff Flappywing are two fowls that know how to keep the peace. They may be chickens, but don’t figuratively call them chicken.”

CNN’s Sanchez give O’Reilly a good smack [VIDEO]

It appears that Bill O’Reilly has once more put his foot in his mouth and forgot to engage his brain before opening that mouth. I am sure some of you will think that this is nothing new but this time his toe nibbling resulted in an almost five minute slap down from Rick Sanchez on CNN.

The whole dust up is over the amount of reporting that was done about the coverage of the shooting of two military recruiters, one of whom died. O’Reilly in his most insulting condescending manner said that he only saw a single report of the incident on CNN and that because of this lack of coverage they had no business advertising themselves as a straight news reporting network.

Well this kind of rubbed Sanchez the wrong way considering the fact that he did two separate reports, one of which was with a retired FBI agent, over the shootings. In fact the number of reports on CNN went well beyond that but I tell you what take the five minutes and have a look at Sanchez as he makes some nice jabs – especially at the end – towards O’Reilly.

Jessica Alba Is Not Stupid

Jessica Alba struck back at Bill O’Reilly yesterday after he made some comments about her intelligence (this was after she called him an a-hole). She took to her MySpace blog to clear up her remarks about Sweden’s neutrality (citing a Wikipedia article for further reading), and then directed us to her newest video about the inauguration.

Here’s what Jessica had to say:

Before I get to the video, I want to clear some things up that have been bothering me lately. I find it depressing that in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country’s history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity. Last week, Mr. Bill O’Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e.TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people…it’s so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden_during_World_War_II if you want to see what I was referring to. I appreciate the name calling and the accurate reporting. Keep it up!!

Now on to more important things…like our new President.

Ummm… do you think that this helps Jessica redeem herself? Personally, I’d suggest just not calling someone an “a-hole” on camera.

O’Reilly, Rove claim Economic Crisis is a Media Conspiracy to help Obama

Lost your job recently, or know someone who did? The United States had its biggest fall in employment for November in at least 20 years, the banks as we already know are all living off Government welfare, and the US car industry in on the brink of total collapse.

But don’t worry too much, because it’s not as bad as it seems!

Bill O’Reilly spoke to Karl Rove on Fox yesterday (Monday) about the economic crisis, and Rove said that the economic crisis is really a media beetup as part of a conscious effort by parts of the media, including the New York Times, to paint a dire picture of the economy in order to help Obama. The theory goes: make it a lot worse now, so Obama can come in and save us all, and Bush gets the blame for all the bad stuff.

Unknown intruders have gained access to conservative Fox News host Bill O’Reilly’s website, days after new broke that Sarah Palin’s Yahoo email account had been accessed.

According to Wikileaks, which as posted proof of the attack, the hack came in retaliation for remarks O’Reilly made condemning the attack on Palin’s Yahoo email account. O’Reilly said among other things

“I’m not going to mention the website that posted this, but it’s one of those despicable, slimy, scummy websites…Everybody knows where this stuff is, OK, and they know the people who run the website, so why can’t they go there tonight to the guy’s house who runs it, put him in cuffs and take him down and book him?”

Screenshots on Wikileaks show the admin interface from O’Reilly’s site, including including names, email addresses, passwords, and home town details of 20 subscribers of the website. The Register reports that details of 205 subscribers were intercepted, according to the company that maintains the O’Reilly website.
