Jennifer Garner’s 3-Year-Old Daughter Already Reads Jane Austen Novels

Jennifer Garner’s three-year-old daughter reads Jane Austen novels. The “Invention of Lying” actress is keen for her children – Violet and eight-month-old Seraphina, her kids with husband Ben Affleck – to have a broad range of interests, and is already encouraging Violet to read classic literature.

Lynda Obst, who produced new movie “The Invention of Lying,” revealed: “Most of the time that I did spend with her when it was off-set, Violet was cooking with her, or reading Jane Austen, or doing one of these remarkable things that Violet tends to do.”

“She encourages her kids to be independent. And at the same time not television watchers. Readers. Thinkers. She is kind of old-fashioned. She is a very classic mom.”

Jennifer, 37, admits she struggles to juggle her career with being a mother, but tries her best.

Speaking at the Hollywood premiere of the movie, she said: “Every day, you feel like you are off-balance one way or another. You just take it one day at a time. I don’t think anyone has it properly figured out.”

Ricky Gervais – Jennifer’s co-star in the film, which is about a world where nobody lies until one man decides to shake things up – claims being a parent has also affected Jennifer’s vocabulary.

He joked: “She is ‘Miss Goody Two Shoes’. When she swears, she says things like ‘dang it’ and ‘darn.’ Her favorite swear word is ‘rats’. That’s not a swear word!”

Thanks to Seriously? OMG! WTF?, we get to watch Ben Affleck in a fast food commercial well before the ridiculousness that was his J-Lo Period and now his happy, two-kid life with Jennifer Garner. That hair! That jacket! That phone! It’s so fun and retro, and best of all, it’s most likely a little embarrassing for Mr. Affleck.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have gone for a second round of parenthood with a baby girl.

Garner gave birth to the girl in Tuesday.

The rep of the couple said that the child was healthy, but not other details were given.

The yet unnamed child will be sister to the couples first child, three year old Violet.

Jennifer Garner was seen rushing to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital with Ben Affleck today, sparking rumors that she could have a New Year’s Eve baby. She’s due any day now, so this could be it! One slight kink in the rumored rush was that Ben was seen sipping on a Starbs iced coffee as he led Jen to the car.

Considering how chill Jennifer has been since the start of her pregnancy, however, she could almost be in labor and we probably wouldn’t know. She delayed revealing her pregnancy until the last moment this time (at the 5 month mark with an obvious bump), and she told People magazine that “It always makes me laugh when people say ‘Is she? Isn’t she?’ It’s like, ‘Eventually you will know, so just chill out for a minute.”

He’s Just Not That Into You see’s an all star cast appear in a new film based on the self-help book of the same name by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.

The plot chronicles the romantic misadventures of several individuals in their twenties and thirties with one person in each relationship is more “into” the other person than vice versa.

Produced by Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films, it stars Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Connolly, and Bradley Cooper; and is being directed by Ken Kwapis.

The release date for He’s Just Not That Into You is February 6 for the US, with other major markets later in the month.

Ben and Jennifer’s Breakup Rumors Denied, but Flourishing Nonetheless

Could it be true? Even though we’ve been watching all the family cuteness unfold, it looks like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner might be headed to splitsville if Ted Casablanca’s sources are right. According to The Awful Truth, Jennifer is mulling over breaking up with her husband Ben, and his mother might be pretty happy about it if it does happen. Ted wondered if that “Could [...] be the reason Jen and Ben are always seen cooing over adorable daughter Violet separately, rarely as one happy family unit?” Now that you mention it. . .

Plus, Jen did throw over Michael Vartan for Ben in the first place, so she’s not new at this whole thing. And I kept thinking she was so sweet… I guess I managed to forget all the drama.

Their rep denies the whole thing, but stay tuned. You never know!

Gavin Rossdale is “Best Celebrity Dad”

Gavin Rossdale has been honored with the title of “Best Celebrity Dad”! I’m sure it was a close call between Gavin Rossdale and Kevin Federline, who was graced with the “Father of the Year” Award this week by Las Vegas nightclub Prive. Ha. Which obviously represents a respected opinion on what makes for good parenting skills, right?

This time the award comes from a tabloid (only marginally better), but one thing’s definitely true: the nominees were pretty solid guys who seemed to deserve the award at least. In Touch named Ryan Philippe the runner-up for the award, with the following trailing behind: Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Adam Sandler, Jack Black, Will Smith, and Ben Affleck.

One question: where’s Brad Pitt? He has to handle twice the workload, and he does it with grace, too.
