Europol agents this week infiltrated a massive child pornography ring and arrested 112 people in 22 countries. During their raids agents went after the worst of the child pornography collects, specifically those with “the most extreme forms of video material” which the Associated Press says included pictures and videos of toddlers and babies being raped.

Agents have revealed that internet chat channels they uncovered have led to 269 suspects, agents are currently arresting the criminals based on the severity of their crimes.

Europol director Rob Wainwright said the operation was a complete success but noted that child porn traders are making it more difficult to track them down because of better technology that allows for identity protection when sharing images and videos.

Codenamed Operation Icarus was led under the leadership of Danish internet security experts because of their expertise in dealing with peer-to-peer networks.

The age of the men range from 24 to 55 years old and all of them are being held in Denmark on preliminary charges. The men were arrested in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Croatia, Norway and Switzerland.

In the meantime investigators do not have their work cut out for them, in one case they will need to sift through 120 terabyte of high definition video from just one arrested party.

Author Naomi Wolf was placed in handcuffs and taken to a local police station in New York City after the feminist author refused to get off the street during an Occupy Wall Street protest.

The ceremony was being used to honor New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who was receiving a “game changer of the year” award from the Huffington post, a site that Wolf contributes to.

Onlookers says Wolf was seen arguing with an NYPD officer who was ordering protesters off the street where they were blocking traffic, when she argued an onlooker says the officer told her to “tell it to the judge.”

According to the Guardian Wolf originally showed up for the ceremony and then decided to join protesters on the streets in support of the soon to expire “millionaires tax.”

Protesters came to Wolf’s aid by marching on the closest stationhouse but they were met by an officer who said Wolf had already been issued a summons and was released from a different precinct.

Another day another arrest in New York City. When all is said and done NYC will have made a killing as citations and other court expenses are paid out by Occupy Wall Street protesters.

I personally think blocking traffic is a good reason for arresting someone who fails to cooperate with police. Do you think it was right for police to arrest Wolf for standing in the street.

Police in New York City on Saturday arrested 80 protesters who were taking part in the “Occupy Wall Street” rally.

One protester told the Wall Street Journal:

“On our march from Union Square the cops proceeded to use nets to round up people.” The 24-year-old protester added, “They split the group into two. As far as I understood, they arrested everyone in the nets.”

The large group of anti-Wall Street protesters gathered to speak out against big banks and the wealthiest American’s more commonly referred to as the “top 1%.”

The rally received word of mouth largely from Twitter and Facebook followers to the event.

Originally the NYPD said they wouldn’t arrest people who chose to protest however rally organizers failed to obtain a permit and police moved forward with arrests.

Even before the roundup occurred some protesters said they heard rumors of coming arrests. One protester noted:

“There’s a lot of speculation that the police are going to throw us out.”

When all was said and done hundreds of people showed up to protest and during their efforts they asked passers-by to sign a petition to support ”the rights of Americans to assemble and practice their rights to free speech and thought.”

I highly doubt any type of permit would have been granted in the first place, besides it’s not like they were disrupting Wall Street workers all that much on a Saturday afternoon.

‘Occupy Wall Street’ Protest Leads To 80 Arrests is a post from: The Inquisitr

Julia E. Laack, 36, of Sheboygan Wisconsin, was followed home by police officers following an alleged shoplifting incident.

Laack is accused of stealing beef jerky and a lighter from a convenience store Thursday. Police say that when they came to her door she refused to answer, becoming belligerent and argumentative. Laack allegedly began berating her three children, loudly blaming one child for the incident. When police entered the home in an attempt to calm her and stabilize the situation, they say she began to strip in front of the three children. Laack asserted the officers could not arrest her naked.

Laack remained uncooperative and reportedly kicked on officer in the groin while spitting at another. Police say she exposed herself against the cruiser window, and registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.112 percent. Laack has been charged with felony battery of a peace officer, resisting an officer, shoplifting and two counts of disorderly conduct.

New law enforcement evasion strategy: getting naked is a post from: The Inquisitr

Raymond Clark III, lab tech at Yale and previously a “person of interest” in Annie Le’s murder, has been arrested at a Connecticut Super 8.

Clark, 24, is said to have been implicated in the killing by DNA among other bits of evidence. Clark is alleged to have failed a polygraph, and police have indicated a presence of “defensive wounds” on the suspect- the type incurred when being fought off during an attack. Police say Le as not sexually assaulted, but that the murder is an instance of “workplace violence.” Video surveillance and swipe key records indicate Le and Clark were in the same room shortly after 10am, the last time Le was seen alive.

In the wake of the accusations against Le, a former high school girlfriend’s of Clark has stepped forward and disclosed an instance of forcible sex with Clark. The woman declined to press charges at the time, but says on her Facebook account that the new accusations against Clark are bringing up painful memories for her.

Bail for Clark was set at $3 million.

Raymond Clark III arrested for murder of Annie Le is a post from: The Inquisitr

Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested Wednesday on a gun charge.

Culver City police said Lynch was arrested after officers approached him and two other men sitting in a car in Fox Hills and found a loaded firearm. Lynch was arrested after it was determined the gun belonged to him.

Lynch was released the same night on $35,000 bail.

This is the second time in a year Lynch has been on the wrong side of the law. In June 2008, Lynch pleaded guilty to a traffic violation after striking a pedestrian then leaving the scene in Buffalo.

The big question: what was Lynch doing sitting in a car with a loaded firearm?
