Police are ruling her death a homicide even though, at the time of this writing, they could not determine if how or when she was killed.

Natzke’s former boss, Hot Springs Village Police Chief Laroy Cornett told “Our missing person’s case has evolved into a homicide,”.

Natzke was last seen leaving a Christmas party on December 21st and reported missing when she failed to show up to work on December 23rd. She left the party with her boyfriend Kevin Duck, who said he and Natzke had gone to bed that evening at her home and when he woke up she was gone. The gated community that Natzke lived in was not equipped with surveillance cameras.

Natzke was found 5 miles into the wilderness from where her burned out car had been found right after her disappearance.

Police visited Natzke’s older sister and mother on Tuesday to tell them that a body had been found in the wilderness and they were waiting for confirmation that the body was their loved one.

“It was a formality anyway,” Vicki Hegyi, Natzke’s sister said. “We knew it was Dawna.”

Dozens of Facebook pages have been started in order to find the killer. Hundreds of people have already joined them and everyone is just hoping they will bring the perpetrators to justice.

“There is at least one person who knows what happened and many more who, without realizing it, have the information needed to `crack this case” one of the pages said.

Natzke is survived by her three children, her sister and mother.

During the celebration for New Year’s 2011 thousands of blackbirds in central Arkansas were spooked from their roost and died in Beebe, Arkan. and now police in the area have reported a similar incident for the areas 2012 celebrations.

According to local police a ban was placed on the shooting off of fireworks last night after dozens of blackbirds fell dead from the blasts.

While it wasn’t immediately clear if the fireworks were to blame a police officer said of the cities decision:

“We started shutting down fireworks,” and “We’re working on cleaning up the birds now.”

Scientists studying the phenomenon say the loud bangs, booms and cracks of fireworks exploding likely send the birds into such a state that they begin flying around and crashing into large objects including homes, care and even other birds, causing them to become unconscious and plummet to their death or die immediately upon impact.

Joking about the incident Beebe’s police chief Beebe’s police chief told the Associated Press people sit on their front porches to watch it occur: ”I guess we could have an annual blackbird watch,” he said with a laugh. “People can just bring their umbrellas.”

In another case a resident who slept through last years strange even said they slept through it last year but made sure to stay awake in case it happened again this year.

“For most of my life I did deliberately lead a private life and inadvertently led a public life,”

These were the words Chelsea Clinton used to describe why she has been shying away from publicity for all these years on “Rock Center With Brian Williams”. Sitting across a table from Mr. Williams she sat with her backed straight and her hands folded gently across her lap, and talked about pride in her parents accomplishments and the inspiration she derived from her grandmother, Dorothy Rodham. Dorothy Rodham died this year and always encouraged Chelsea to do more with her fame.

She chose NBC and NBC chose her. She is using the fame her grandmother extolled her to do more with as a way to reach out to people, to make a difference and to promote the stories she finds need to be told.

She started her first broadcast with a story from her father’s home state of Arkansas, and spoke about an amazing woman, Annette Dove, who had devoted herself and all of her money to running an afterschool program for the kids of Pine Bluff.

Chelsea seemed very comfortable, and very likeable and prepared to jump into her new career with gusto. Not only will she be able to promote the charities she cares so much about, among them AmFAR (devoted to the fight against AIDS) and also her father’s Clinton Foundation but the real question every in asking themselves is…Where is this going?

Many people use the media as a stepping stone into a new life, most notably politics. It seems as if a third Clinton’s star is rising.

Do you think Chelsea Clinton has what it takes to make it on NBC?

Researchers in southwestern Arkansas recently discovered 120 million-year-old dinosaur footprints and now those dinosaur tracks are being examined.

The fossils were found on private property in an area that covers approximately the size of two football fields. The fossils are particularly exciting because the species found has never before been witnessed in Arkansas.

According to researchers at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, they believed the three-toed print belonged to the Acrocanthosaurus atokensis, one of the largest predators to walk the earth.

Also found on the small patch of area are prints for suaropods, plant-eating dinosaurs with large necks.

Scientists will use the dinosaur tracks to better understand the Early Cretaceous period which occurred from 115 to 120 million years ago.

Brian Platt of the University of Kansas told Fox News:

“Through tracks, we can learn all sorts of things about dinosaur biomechanics and behavior.” Platt went on to add, “Dinosaur bones can be dragged away by animals or swept out to sea. But we know that about 120 million years ago, dinosaurs walked right through here.”

Researchers will continue examining the area and footprints will be excavated and examined to determine more about the dinosaurs that lived in the area and to better understand their environment.

After watching Demias Jimerson, a sixth grader playing in Arkansas’ Wilson Intermediate Football League, Terri Bryant, the league’s commissioner, says yes.

Following a seven-touchdown performance by Jimerson in a recent game, his league revived an old rule which essentially “tames” the young athlete’s talents, by preventing him from scoring a touchdown if he has already scored three times and his team leads by 14 or more points.

The re-instituted bylaw, known as the “Madre Hill rule,” is named after former University of Arkansas star and Oakland Raider Madre Hill, who, like Jimerson, played youth football in the Malvern, Ark., area.

In his youth Hill proved so adept at getting the ball into the end zone whenever he touched it that the WIFL came up with the rule to try and keep scores from getting too out of hand.

In Demias’ case, the rule is being enforced to help the other fifth and sixth graders on the field develop as football players too, not to punish young Jimerson, says commissioner Bryant.

“The other players on both teams, 21 are just left sort of, this is all Demias,” she said. “So that’s why the Madre Hill Rule has been implemented.”

While most kids (and their parents) would throw a literal fit, if faced with a similar circumstance, Jimerson took the news of the rule like a champ.

“I got, kinda got shocked because I didn’t know that was gonna happen, but it did,” said Jimerson. Adding, “I’m ok with it. I’m gonna run hard and bring our team to victory, but God always comes first, before anything, and grades second.”

I realize that it’s pretty much an over worked running joke about towns whose police chief rules with and iron fist and whose coffers overflow with money raised by excessive ticketing. For the most part we associate stories like these with overblown television shows needing some sort of comic relief. That is until you come across Jericho Arkansas.

Up until recently much of the policing of this 174 person town was handled by the state police but then the town found out it could get some some grant money to form its own police force. So in the 1990’s Jericho got its own police force and the poor town hasn’t been the same since.

The town became the epitome of a traffic ticket town where Thomas Martin, chief investigator for the Crittendon State Police has said you can’t get the Jericho police on the phone because they are too busy writing tickets. It is so out of hand that 75-year-old retiree Albert Beebe got a ticket for going 58 miles per hour in his driveway.

Now before you start thinking that being such a small town it is understandable that their officer is busy all of the time it might be wise to point out that besides the police chief the Jericho police force consists of seven officers – in a town of 174 people.

Well it appears that the simmering tensions between the town residents and their police force came to a head recently as their Fire Chief Don Payne found himself in court twice in the same day to contest traffic tickets. Words got a little heated and suddenly the fire chief found himself being shot by one of the seven police officers present in the courtroom.

It was anger over traffic tickets that brought Payne to city hall last week, said his lawyer, Randy Fishman. After Payne failed to get a traffic ticket dismissed on Aug. 27, police gave Payne or his son another ticket that day. Payne, 39, returned to court to vent his anger to Judge Tonya Alexander, Fishman said.

It’s unclear exactly what happened next, but Martin said an argument between Payne and the seven police officers who attended the hearing apparently escalated to a scuffle, ending when an officer shot Payne from behind.

Doctors in Memphis, Tenn., removed a .40-caliber bullet from Payne’s hip bone, Martin said. Another officer suffered a grazing wound to his finger from the bullet.

Martin declined to name the officer who shot Payne. It’s unclear if the officer has been disciplined.

Since the shooting the police department in Jericho has been disbanded “until things calm down”. As well the judge, Tonya Alexander, has voided all the tickets written by the department both inside the town and others that were written outside of their jurisdiction. Alexander has also resign as judge after the whole incident.

McDonalds is facing a lawsuit after employees in a Fayetteville, Arkansas store stole nude photos from a lost cell phone and posted them to the internet.

Phillip and Tina Sherman say Phillip left his cell phone at the McDonald’s July 5. Phillip rang the store to be told that the phone had been found, and had been secured for his collection. What employees shortly discovered though was that Tina Sherman had been sending nude photographs of herself to her husband, and this is where the story takes a turn into legal terrority.

Shortly after confirming the store had the phone, Tina Sherman began receiving offensive calls and text messages about the pictures, then learned her pictures had been posted online along with her name, address and phone number. According to NWAOnline, the web site described how McDonald’s employees retrieved the pictures from a phone left at the restaurant.

Phillip and Tina Sherman are seeking more than $3 million in damages. McDonald’s has so far refused to comment on the story. I guess the Sherman’s weren’t lovin it.
