Insiders for NBC’s hit show “The Biggest Loser” have recently said that the shows newest fitness trainer Anna Kournikova has been a “nightmare” to work with so it didn’t surprise insiders on Monday when she announced her departure from the show after just two months on the job.

Announced as the replacement for Jillian Michaels it’s being reported that the staff at NBC didn’t find her easy to work with while contestants found her abrasive attitude to be “non-sympathetic.

Speaking to US Online Kournikova said:

“I enjoyed my time on the Biggest Loser ranch. Although I will not be returning as a full time trainer on season 13, I will always be a part of ‘The Biggest Loser’ family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue.”

In their own statement an NBC rep said of Anna’s time on the show:

“It wasn’t the right fit for her.”

The split at least on Anna and NBC’s side seems to be amicable and will likely lead to a very public search for a new trainer.

Anna Kournikova made her debut last night on “The Biggest Loser.” Kournikova and Dolvett Quince joined Bob Harper on the 12th season of the weight loss reality show, replacing fitness expert Jillian Michaels.

“The Biggest Loser” started by dividing the weight loss contestants into three groups by age. The contestants then ran a mile in order to decide who would get first pick when it came to trainers. Bob, who was everyone’s top choice, was picked first by the middle age group. The young team, under 30, chose Quince next. While the above 50 group got stuck with Kournikova. With all three trainers picked, “The Battle of the Ages” was set to begin.

Kournikova, who obviously keeps herself in shape and has worked with some of the best trainers in the world, has never worked as a trainer herself. Kournikova will get to prove her fitness worth this season, but she didn’t do the greatest job last night. Her group came in last place at the end of the first episode.

Before the debut episode, Kournikova said:

“I’ve worked with the best psychologist sports psychologist, the best nutritionists, the best trainer, the best coaches…  I know that I didn’t have a lot of experience or much experience working with obese people, but that’s why we have an amazing support system. Really, it’s basic science and math.

“The most important trick is explaining it to the contestants and motivating them. It’s not rocket science.”

Some of the contestants thought that Kournikova was going to be a sweetheart, but the Russian tennis player proved that she isn’t as soft as she looks.

The Daily Mail reports that Bob’s team lost 126 pounds in the first week. Dolvett’s team lost 89 pounds, while Kournikova’s team only lost 49 pounds.

The Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova, who is surprisingly probably the most famous player to never win a singles tournament, turned 30 today.

Kournikova hit the spotlight in her teen years, specifically during her debut at the 96′ U.S. Open, when the world first took notice of her beauty.  Appearing in magazines such Sports Illustrated (Swimsuit Issue), FHM, and Maxim, the blond bombshell quickly became a sex symbol in the sports world.

Despite never winning a WTA singles title, Anna has won countless awards for her good looks. In 1998,2000,2002, and 2003 she was listed in People’s 50 Most Beautiful People. In 2002 she also placed first in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World, in both the U.S and U.K. editions of the popular men’s magazine.

Anna currently resides in Miami Beach, FL where she plays in occasional exhibitions and in doubles for the St. Louis Aces of the WTT.

In May 2011, it was announced that Kournikova would join The Biggest Loser, replacing Jillian Michaels as a regular celebrity trainer in season 12.

Jillian Michaels is on her way out of NBC’s The Biggest Loser and it looks like tennis star Anna Kournikova will be picking up her megaphone and taking over the role of personal trainer.

If the move is finalized Kournikova will join the shows recently announced new judges Cara Castronuova and Brett Hoebel.

If you’ve been watching the show you probably remember that Kournikova made a guest appearance for the show back in October.

While NBC officials have not confirmed the announcement they are expected to formalize any agreements during The Biggest Loser season finale on Tuesday, May 24 @ 8 PM ET.

Anna Kournikova has put her Miami mansion on the open market with an asking price of $9.4 million.

For that price the homes eventual buyer will take possession of a 6,630-square-ft. home that offers 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a heated pool and Jacuzzi and a coral rock pool deck with sauna.

The home also features a 2-story guest house and a personal dock.

The home is relatively new (built in 2000) and is located on Sunset Island, a private gated community in Miami Beach.

Rumors are circulating that Kournikova is getting ready to move in with boyfriend Enrique Iglesias, hence the home sale.

Tennis glamour model Anna Kournikova’s mother Alla is facing felony child neglect charges after an incident Tuesday at her Palm Beach, FL home where her five-year-old son plummeted from a window while left alone.

Police responded to a 911 call and found the child “wet” and “injured,” having fallen from the second story of the home. Authorities say the child, Allen, had been “in her residence unsupervised for in excess of 50 minutes,” and that Kournikova “failed to provide the necessary supervision to maintain the child’s physical well being.” After the child’s fall from the window, reports indicate he wandered to the backyard pool to soak his injured feet.

After attending to Allen’s injuries, police had to break back into the house through the second story window, as the entrances were deadbolted and windows were painted shut:

Police said they found no one else inside the house. To exit the house, police said, the officers had to climb back down the ladder because the locked doors required a key to unlock the deadbolts and the windows were painted shut. Alla Kournikova later told police a key was left on top of the refrigerator.

Alla Kournikova was eventually contacted when police left her a voicemail at 2:30pm, more than half an hour after police responded to reports of the child’s injuries. Kournikova finally returned home at 2:45 pm, and explained she left the child at home “with a phone” because he didn’t want to run errands.
