Ann Coulter has written an op-ed in defense of the Massachusetts healthcare law which President Obama says gave him the inspiration for the national healthcare law know as Obamacare.  Ann Coulter has been an outspoken supporter of Romney’s run for the Republican nomination for President.

The op-ed was found on her blog and it was called “Three Cheers For Romneycare!”, she explains,

“If only the Democrats had decided to socialize the food industry or housing, Romneycare would probably still be viewed as a massive triumph for conservative free-market principles — as it was at the time.”

Romney has taken as far as a step back as he can from Romneycare.  He is afraid that voters will see him as too much of a moderate for supporting a law that is just like Obamacare.  President Obama is very grateful for Romneycare because if Romney is the nominee it takes the pressure off Obama.  Obamacare is still very widely unpopular.

Coulter lays out what she sees as a basic distinction between the Massachusetts law and the federal law in her op-ed,

“One difference between the health care bills is that Romneycare is constitutional and Obamacare is not.”

Jonathan Gruber, is one of the architects of Romneycare and Obamacare. He was asked what he thinks of a distinction betweenthe two and he says,  “the same f***ing bill.”

Philip Klein of the Washington Examiner went after coulter for treating conservatives like they are idiots.  He said of Coulter,

“defend[ing] big government social welfare policy as conservative and treat[ing] conservatives like they’re too dumb to understand the difference.”

Militant conservative Ann Coulter isn’t one to mince words.

Author of a series of books with increasingly alarming titles accusing the left of everything from godlessness to treason, Coulter isn’t above using strong language to get her point across. So when the flaxen-haired GOP-atrix appeared on Joe Scarborough’s Morning Joe on MSNBC Tuesday, it wasn’t technically very surprising a large portion of her unvarnished opinion about some fellow Republicans was bleeped or muted- making the gist of her complaints unintelligible.

The audible portion of Coulter’s comments Tuesday morning went something like this:

“I’d rather have [?] McCain was consistent, he was [?] we have Romney and Gingrich [?], …what did I say? Douchebag?”

Which kinda reads like GOP Mad Libs! (Amusingly, the “douchebag” at the end wasn’t censored.) So later in the day, Coulter appeared on left-leaning Joy Behar’s show, and clarified her remarks about McCain, Romney and Gingrich. Coulter explained:

“I said ‘dickweed,’…They were talking about the lack of consistency, people complain about it with Romney…and I was just making the point, I don’t think consistency is the most important value. And you know, look at John McCain, he was consistently a dickweed.”

Lefty Behar and the conservative pundit then discussed whether Behar’s show had been cancelled due to a “vast right-wing conspiracy,” and Coulter admitted that she appreciated Behar’s show and would miss it when it departs from the airwaves. Coulter lamented that Behar’s show was one of the few of its kind where she could avoid news about Casey Anthony, who Coulter dubbed a “white trash bimbo.”

Republican blacks are better than Democrat blacks. In the mind of Ann Coulter, that’s a fact. Coulter made the “our blacks are better than their blacks” statement earlier this week on Fox News, and she stood by the claim last night while talking to Joy Behar.

Coulter said on Fox News:

“Our blacks are so much better than their blacks… To become a black Republican, you don’t just roll into it. You’re not going with the flow. You have fought against probably your family members, probably your neighbors, you have thought everything out and that’s why we have very impressive blacks in our party.”

According to the NY Daily News, Coulter points to Herman Cain, Michael Steele, and Allen West as examples of impressive black Republicans.

HLN’s Joy Behard asked Coulter if she believed ”all the African Americans who are Democrats are stupid?”

Coulter said:

“No. I’m saying Google Maxine Waters, Cynthia McKinney, John Conyers, and then Google Allen West, Michael Steele or Herman Cain. … Ours are more impressive. There’s no question about it.”

Coulter also claims that people are only racist against conservative African-Americans and not liberals. Coulter said:

“The only racism you hear in America is against conservative blacks.”

Coulter isn’t the only one pulling out the race card. Yesterday, Donald Trump accused Jon Stewart of making racist remarks against Herman Cain.

But Coulter’s claim that “the only racism you hear in America is against conservative blacks” doesn’t really hold up. I seem to remember seeing a sign somewhere before…

Sean Penn, Morgan Freeman, Alan Cummings, Janeane Garofalo, and several other liberal celebrities have condemned the tea party for being a racist organization.

Freeman said:

“Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What’s that mean? What underlines that? ‘Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we can to get this black man outta here.’”

You might not agree with Freeman or his like-minded celebrities, but saying that racism is only pointed in one direction seems a little short-sighted.

The group announced Tuesday that Coulter is now an “honorary chair” and her official title will be “gay icon.”

“Ann Coulter is a brilliant and fearless leader of the conservative movement; we are honored to have her as part of GOProud’s leadership,” board Chairman Christopher Barron said in the group’s official statement. “Ann helped put our organization on the map. Politics is full of the meek, the compromising and the apologists — Ann, like GOProud, is the exact opposite of all of these things. We need more Ann Coulters.”

Coulter, who has a history of anti-gay statements and who does not support marriage equality – at least not publicly – joins anti-tax activist Grover Norquist, online media mogul Andrew Breitbart, Republican strategist Roger Stone, and a slew of other noted conservatives, all of whom serve on the organization’s council.

Despite her opposition to same-sex marriage, Coulter issued the following statement, approving her new role on the group’s board:

“I am honored to serve in this capacity on GOProud’s Advisory Council, and look forward to being the queen of fabulous.”

Ann Coulter has released a new book entitled “DEMONIC: How the Liberal Mob is Endangering America.” Without a hint of irony respective to the actions of Americans who align themselves with the Tea Party, Coulter lays out a case for alarmist rhetoric and group-think- characteristics she heavily ascribes to Progressives.

Coulter sat down with CNN to discuss the content of her new release, and opined:

But to answer the question: The liberal mob has always been dangerous. The new danger is that conservatives and other peaceable Americans don’t fully comprehend how scary mobs are. There’s always a potential for violence with a mob.  The rioting, bombings and property destruction went from zero to 100 pretty quickly in the sixties, but then Nixon, the hardhats, the National Guard and others struck back hard. And that was the end of that.

She adds:

I don’t know how conservatives would react to the same upheaval today, but I am pessimistic that they could rouse themselves to be as forceful. Americans need to be constantly reminded that you can’t reason with a mob.  Only force works.

“Engaged three times. You’re 50 in December, are you?” Asked the CNN show’s host Morgan.

“Don’t talk about either engagements, Social Security number, age or anything else,” Coulter responded.

When asked about a rumor claiming the self described ‘polemicist’ deliberately doctored her age on her drivers license, Coulter quickly defused the question.

“There are apparently more than one Ann Coulter in this country. I don’t answer questions about myself,” she continued. “But I will say I’m not supposed to and I think like most public figures [I] don’t talk about anything that wouldn’t involve — that you would not want the most dangerous stalker to know or have. So I will not be answering private life questions. That’s why we call it a private life.”

After Coulter eventually shut down Morgan’s repeated attempts to persuade her to open up about her personal life, the two covered some of the more ‘inflammatory’ things Ann has said throughout the years.

Right wing pundit Ann Coulter appeared on The View today, with predictable results. I think I even heard Mein Kampf mentioned. I’ll give Coulter credit though: she seems to have no shame in promoting her book anywhere and everywhere she can, even in hostile territory.

Ann Coulter, the right wing pundit despised by the left but loved by the hard right has broken her jaw.

Details on the Ann Coulter jaw incident are a bit sketchy though reports suggest the broken jaw was a result of a fall. The one thing we can be clear on though: Coulter will have her jaw wired shut for the next few weeks to allow her jaw to recover.

As well has her appearances on Fox News and the talk circuit, Coulter is the author of How to talk to a Liberal, If Liberals had any brains they would be Republicans, Treason and Godless. The audio version of her latest book The New Ann Coulter is looking like it may be delayed however.

Some of her more famous quotes include a remark on Timothy McVeigh’s 1994 bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City: “My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building” and writing after 9/11: “We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity. We weren’t punctilious about locating and punishing only Hitler and his top officers. We carpet-bombed German cities; we killed civilians. That’s war. And this is war.”
