Country legend Glen Campbell may have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease last June but he had no problem remembering the lyrics to “Rhinestone Cowboy” during the 2012 Grammy Awards.

Campbell, who just released his final album and launched a “farewell tour,” said that he wanted to make his diagnosis public so that his fans wouldn’t get the wrong impression if anything went wrong on stage.

Campbell’s daughter, Ashley, said:

“The main thing we were concerned about was during shows he would forget a line or get a little confused. People would think, ‘Is he drunk?’ Is he doing drugs again?’ So we didn’t want people to get the wrong impression.”

Campbell, who has already won five Grammy awards, received the lifetime achievement award last night at the 54th annual Grammy Awards. He also performed with Blake Shelton and The Band Perry.

Glen Campbell’s performance last night went off without a hitch, but the singer admits that he can get confused sometimes at stage. But the Alzheimer’s doesn’t bother him. Campbell told CNN: ”I am content with it. Don’t cry over spilt milk. Get up and be a man and do what you have got to do.”

Feng Fei Fei, a Taiwanese singer and talkshow host, passed away at the age of 60 on January 3rd, 2012. Her death was only recently revealed by her lawyers, however, as the singer did not want her death to interfere with the Chinese New Year celebration.

The China Post reports that Feng Fei Fei was adamant that her death would not distract from the Chinese New Year holiday. Feng said that “breaking such news during the New Year holidays will bring bad luck to others.”

President Ma said that he was saddened by the news. Feng Fei Fei sang two songs during the 2008 inauguration ceremonies when Ma was sworn in for his first time. The president reportedly called Fei’s son after he learned the news of the singers death and told him that “he sorely misses her.”

The China Post reports that Feng Fei Fei caught her big break in 1971 when one of her songs was included in a compilation album. She released her debut album, “Wishing You Well,” the following year.

Feng Fei Fei earned the nickname “The Hat Diva” during her four decade career for her outlandish hats that she wore on stage. Yahoo News reports that the singer’s biggest hits include  ”I’m A Cloud”, “When I Hear Your Applause”, and “Chasing Dreams.”

Matt Bomer is gay. The star of the hit show “White Collar” officially came out of the closet this weekend at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards this while accepting an award.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Bomer received the New Generation Arts and Activism Award on Saturday night for his work against HIV / AIDS. During his speech, he thanked his publicist and partner Simon and their three kids.

Bomer said:

“I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.”

Hall, Bomer’s partner and publicist with Slate PR, also represents openly gay actor Neil Patrick Harris.

Bomer’s announcement comes just a few days after Prop 8, the ban on gay marriage, was declared unconstitutional. Washington has also recently legalized gay marriage and New Jersey lawmakers passed a bill through the senate today that would legalize gay marriage.

Bomer has done his best to keep his sexuality out of the public realm. When asked about his sexuality by Details Magazine, Bomer responded:

“I don’t care about that at all. I’m completely happy and fulfilled in my personal life. I have a network and a show riding on my shoulders. I would say a big difference between my character and me is that I can be too trusting. And I’ve realized in this business, that’s not necessarily the smartest thing to be. I definitely have a thing or two to learn from the con artists.”

If you’re browsing the top selling songs and albums on iTunes or Amazon today, you’re probably going to see a lot of Whitney Houston. The singer’s music has been flying off of the shelves since her untimely demise this weekend.

On iTunes, Whitney Houston claimed 42 of the top 200 songs. On Amazon, Houston took 10 of the top 20 albums.

Billboard, which tracks music sales, is expecting Whitney Houston’s greatest hits album to sell about 50,000 copies today which could put Houston back into the top 20 of the Billboard 200.

Houston was pretty familiar with the Billboard 200 during her career. Houston had 11 number one hits in her career (You can listen to all of her hits here). Her song “I Will Always Love You” spent 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200.

The AFP reports that Whitney Houston sold 170 million albums, singles and videos during her career with Arista Records. Her hit “I Will Always Love You” is the top selling single of all time.

Several other musicians have seen soaring sales after their deaths. Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse both saw a huge boost in sales. No one’s talking about a posthumous album yet but it wouldn’t be surprising to see a re-mastered collection released in the next few months.

Houston was found in a hotel bathtub over the weekend. The cause of death is still being determined. You can read more about the singer’s death here.

Marston Hefner, Hugh Hefner’s son, was arrested last night after allegedly attacking 2011 Playmate of the year Claire Sinclair.

Kansas City reports that Sinclair and Marston have been dating for over a year and lived together in a house in Pasadena, California. Marston was arrested after one of Sinclair’s family members called the police claiming that the young Hefner had abused Claire. Marston admitted that he and Claire had been arguing but denied that he had hit her.

Police may be a little skeptical about Maston’s denial, however, since Claire had bruises and red marks on her body.

According to TMZ, Claire Sinclair told police that Marston had punched her and kicked her in the stomach. Sinclair called her family for help who then called the police.

Marston was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence. He has already posted his $20,000 bail.

Claire Sinclair was named the Playmate of the Year in 2011. The 20-year-old has been dating Marston Hefner since August 2010.

Last year Lady Gaga showed up to the Grammy Awards in an egg. It was part of an elaborate stage production that saw her “reborn” on stage. Well, Lady Gaga wasn’t performing this year so it was up to Nicki Minaj to pick up the slack in crazy. Nicki Minaj walked the red carpet with a pope look-a-like, a preview to her onstage exorcism.

The controversial performance was, of course, met with a lot of criticism.

Do you think the performance was sacrilegious? Offensive? Bizarre? Awesome? Boring?

The performance started with Nicki Minaj singing to a priest. Her words seemed to burn the priests soul and convinces him that Minaj needs an exorcism. Cut to a pre-taped segment where Minaj (I mean her alter-ego Roman) smears lipstick on herself and crawls up to the upper corner of the room.

When they cut back to the live show, Minaj is chained to a board as guys with monk robes dance around her. Then there’s some fire and the priest walks out to do the exorcism, which ends with Minaj levitating toward the ceiling.

It was…. theatrical.

US Weekly reports the “My Prerogative” singer lost it onstage the previous evening at a show in Southaven, Miss., hours after learning of Houston’s death.

“Just say a prayer for my daughter, say a prayer for her mother, and if you find the time please say a prayer for me because I am going to need it,” Brown told the crowd on Saturday night.

According to multiple reports, Bobbi Kristina, 18, has been on suicide watch in the days following her mother’s death and was briefly hospitalized not once but twice for near death related experiences.

According to People magazine, Brown arrived at LAX with a large entourage looking sad and scared.

“Obviously, the death of her mother is affecting her, however, we will get through this tragedy as a family,” Bobby said in a statement to Extra. “Again, I ask for privacy during this time.”

Bobbi Kristina is Brown and Huston’s only child together. According to Bobby Brown‘s agent, the singer’s main priority is being with his family and his daughter, and Brown decided to leave the tour with New Edition because of “his love for his daughter and his daughter being in the hospital. He wants to go be with his daughter.”

An autopsy on Whitney Houston’s body has been completed, but the results have been withheld as Houston’s death investigation continues. Officials did, however, confirm Houston was found in hotel bathtub and that there was no sign of trauma.

One of the sadder aspects of an unexpected and often self-destructive sudden demise is the ripple effect of the incident on those close to the victim, and since the death of singer Whitney Houston, her daughter Bobbi Kristina- who is just 19 years old- has been distraught and inconsolable.

Many disturbing reports about Bobbi Kristina have emerged since Houston’s shocking death at 48 on Saturday night. Houston was found dead in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel, and it has been surmised that the singer may have drowned in the bathroom following an unconsciousness-inducing mix of Xanax and alcohol. And yesterday, reports emerged that one day prior to Houston’s death, Bobbi Kristina herself was removed from a hotel bathtub- after passing out- by members of her mother’s entourage.

The night of Houston’s death, it was widely reported that Bobbi Kristina was kept at bay by police officers at the scene and that she demanded to see her mother’s body, but the officers refused her request. And yesterday the teen was hospitalized, reportedly distraught and emotional at the sudden loss of her mother.

TMZ is now reporting that Bobbi Kristina has been rushed to the hospital again this morning, transported by an ambulance from the hotel in which her mother Whitney died. The blog says:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ police and fire responded to a call for a medical emergency, but would not confirm who was transported… According to our sources, Bobbi Kristina went to the hospital last night as well, but was not transported via ambulance. We’re told she was “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”

It has also been reported by TMZ that family fears Bobbi Kristina may be suicidal following the loss of her mother.

Denzel Washington is one of Hollywood’s most well-known and successful actors, so it should come as no surprise that he’s picky when it comes to scripts. Really, really picky, actually.

Speaking in an interview with The Observer, Washington detailed just how involved he is in the film-making process, even when he’s not producing and directing it. If he sees a script he doesn’t like–which is very nearly all of them, apparently–he’ll get involved.

“Training Day, that character was nothing like it ended up being – it was more like a Lethal Weapon kind of guy, a beer-drinking kind of guy,” Washington explained. “Antoine Fuqua [the director] brought the whole gangster element to it, and we developed it and improvised a lot…”

“Nine times out of nine the script is not there, to my liking. And I’m a logic monster. If things don’t make sense, I gotta make sense out of them, and you get into the process.”

Washington says that he has script approval on every movie he makes, but he points out that “the other side of that is: how can I say anything about it if I haven’t done anything about it? So you start getting in there, and I like that part.”

Hollywood Actor Samuel L. Jackson has admitted to something that appears to be the news of the century.  He admitted he voted for then Senator Barack Obama because he was black.

In an interview with the New York Post on race in politics Jackson said,

“I voted for Barack because he was black. Cause that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them.”

He was asked whether it was a little cynical to vote for a candidate based on his race and not based on the issues.  He responded that he didn’t feel any guilt for that because Obama is a politician and it doesn’t matter what any politician says, as they all will say anything to get elected.

He said,

“That’s American politics, pure and simple. [Obama’s] message didn’t mean [anything] to me. In the end, he’s a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do. I know politicians … lie cause they want to get elected,”

The African-American vote was huge for President Obama in the 2008 election.  Statisticians say that for any Democrat to win the White House they need to pull at least 80% of the black vote.  In 2004, John Kerry pulled in 88% and in 2012 Obama pulled in 95% of the black vote.

President Obama faces a bit of a problem with Black voters this time around as black leaders, who were somewhat skeptical of Obama in the first place, are not thrilled with the President’s results for the black community.

According to Radar Online Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18, “tried to ease the pain of losing her mother by having a few alcoholic drinks.” Realizing that she was drunk and out of control her entourage tried to calm her down by giving her some sedatives, a mix that didn’t work as planned. As one source reveals,  ”The two [alcohol and drugs] were an unfortunate mix and she ended up passing out.”

After her first trip the hospital it was less then 24-hours before Bobbi was spotted once again on a hospital stretcher where she was said to be ”hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”

The only child from Whitney’s marriage to Bobby Brown  she spoke of her mother’s death last night when OntheRedCarpet reports that she broke down in tears.

Along with being rushed to the hospital last night the daughter of Whitney Houston was engaged in a shouting match with police officers which may have led to her entourage providing her with sedatives to calm her down.

It’s understandable that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been visibly upset at the unexpected death of her mother but in this writers opinion she’s acting like a spoiled Hollywood brat and taking attention away from her mother’s former brilliant career when she should be with family and friends, remembering her mom.

The Whitney Houston autopsy is complete and authorities are now waiting on a final toxicology report to determine if the singer was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of her death.

Fans of the singer hoping for a quick turn around on those tests will be holding their breath for quite some time, authorities say it will take 4-6 weeks.

While the cause of death has not been confirmed various sources are reporting that Whitney fell asleep in the bath tub or lapsed into unconsciousness where she drowed.

Police turned over every square inch of the singers Beverly Hills hotel and rumors point to various prescription drugs found with no sign of illegal drugs.

It’s believed that Whitney was drinking the night before she was found and authorities believe a deadly combination of Xanax and alcohol may have led to her demise.

Reports are also circulating that on-again off-again boyfriend Ray-J raced to her side after the singer was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Whitney Houston is survived by her 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

While investigators have found no evidence of illegal drugs in the Beverly Hills hotel room where Whitney Houston died on Saturday night it’s believed that prescription drugs were located and that the singer may have drowned in her bathtub.

Sources told TMZ on Sunday that when EMT’s arrived Houston’s body had already been removed from the bathtub so they will have to wait and see if she died from a drug overdose or from a bathtub drowning or other cause.

According to reports police found various prescription drug bottles scattered around the room, however no illegal drug use was discovered and there didn’t appear to be any alcohol consumption on Whitney’s part.

Whitney’s body was taken from the room on a gurney and will now go to the morgue for an autopsy to determine the singers cause of death.

Whitney Houston was just 48-years-old but looked far beyond her years after two decades of drug abuse ravaged her body, including her once trademarked voice which sounded like a former shell of itself during recently critically bashed concerts.

Whitney is survived by her 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina.

The publicist of singer Whitney Houston has confirmed to the Associated Press that Houston is dead at the age of 48.

Houston, who has struggled with drugs over the past decade, entered rehab in May for substance abuse problems after a series of disastrous concerts that left many fans feeling slighted. At the time, her rep told press that the move was voluntary for Houston to get well:

“Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment. Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”

The struggle for Houston was a long one, and often pegged in media as beginning with her troubled marriage to fellow musician Bobby Brown. Before their split, the pair did a controversial reality show as Houston slid more deeply into drug addiction. At the height of her Bodyguard fame in 1993, Houston told Rolling Stone of her romance with the renowned bad boy:

“When you love, you love. I mean, do you stop loving somebody because you have different images? You know, Bobby and I basically come from the same place… You see somebody, and you deal with their image, that’s their image. It’s part of them, it’s not the whole picture. “Saturday Night Live” will be treading once again in dangerous waters tonight. No one is worried about the performance of tonight’s host, Zooey Deschanel, but musical guest Karmin could prove to be another Lana Del Rey.

SNL was criticized for choosing Lana Del Rey as its musical guest last week because the “Videogame” singer had limited on stage experience. Lana Del Rey’s performance was called the worst in the history of SNL. (You can see her performance here.) Tonight, Karmin will take the stage under similar conditions.

Last year Karmin was still riding a wave of internet stardom. The duo, comprised of Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, have done a series of internet videos and are currently working on their debut album.

Heidemann said:

“We’ve been working with some of the top producers of the world. We recorded close to 50 songs, so we’re trying to get that list down to album size.”

He and co-star Denzel Washington were forced to re-shoot an otherwise perfect scene when the phone went off in Reynold’s pocket.

Explaining himself during an appearance on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” Reynolds revealed he mistakenly forgot to switch out his real phone for a prop and the device switched into iPod mode, instantly blasting Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly With Me.”

“It was probably the most intense emotional scene in the film,” Reynold’s told Letterman, recounting the ordeal. “So I’m there and he’s doing this scene, it’s gorgeous and I guess my bony little [bleep] has pressed the button on the phone … and suddenly I hear, ‘Come Fly With Me’ … And I guess I activated the iPod on the thing.”

Despite the embarrassing snafu, Washington, being the professional he is, continued on with his lines as his mortified co-star laid the blame on a fellow cast member, fearing he was as good as dead after ruining the Training Day star’s monologue.

Reynolds jokingly explained he wanted to be “legally dead” at that point for making such a rookie mistake.

The cellphone mishap wasn’t Ryan’s only blunder however, as the Green Lantern star explains he also accidentally gave Denzel a black eye during the production of “Safe House.”

“We’re having a pretty intense fight scene in the car and we’re all over the place,” Ryan told Letterman. “And I felt my head connect with something tall, dark, and expensive. It was pretty awful.”

The Basketball Wives starlet and her New England Patriots wide receiver fiance have been dating for just under two years. After briefly battling breakup rumors and temporarily putting the wedding on hold in early January, the duo are back on track with Evelyn picking up the weight of the planning duties.

“He could [not] care less. He’s like, ‘I’m going to make sure I’m there,’” repeated Evelyn to ESPN.

Despite the NFL star’s indifference pertaining to all things wedding related, there is one thing Ochocinco demands a say in, according to Lozada.

“What he would like to be in control of is probably the music,” the reality TV star is quoted as saying by Popular Critic. “He’s very in tune with music. I mean, if you looked at his iTunes library, you would be surprised as to what he has in there. I think that’s definitely something that’s important to him”.

Evelyn and Chad continue to defy critics who still believe they won’t make it down the aisle – but from the looks of things by summer’s end Ms. Lozada will be Mrs. Ochocinco and/or Mrs. Johnson.

In the midst of her wedding planning, Evelyn is also gearing up for the Season 4 premiere of Basketball Wives which is slated to hit TV screens on Feb. 20 on VH1.

Paul McCartney was honored Friday with the MusiCares Person Of The Year award. At the event, stars such as Katy Perry, Coldplay, Tony Bennett and a whole lot more took to the stage to sing some of McCartney’s greatest hits throughout his 50-year career.

Perry was seen at the concert in a flamboyant pink hat and long dress. She kicked off her bit with a rendition of ‘Live And Let Die’ with her backing band, but then she took everyone by surprise when she switched it up and started singing ‘Hey Jude’.

McCartney, who is nearing 70 years old, received recognition for his musical achievements at the event, which takes place just a few days ahead of the Grammys. “It’s great for me to be here,” he told the crowd. “It’s fantastic to hear all these fantastic artists doing my songs.”

Katy Perry wasn’t the only singer to pay homage to McCartney by singing one of the superstars’ tracks. Coldplay got on the stage, saying “”We love Paul and we’re happy to be here,” before launching into “We Can Work It Out”. After Alicia Keys and many more stars belted out a few tunes on stage, Mr. McCartney himself took to the stage momentarily.

Perry is scheduled to perform again very soon, this time at the Grammys on Sunday.
