Canadian Foreign Minister Quits For Leaving State Secrets At Girlfriends House. Bonus: Girlfriend Had Criminal Connections

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier has resigned from cabinet “over a security breach involving classified documents,” Prime Minister Stephen Harper told reporters Monday.

Bernier’s first crime was leaving “secret documents” in the apartment of his former girlfriend Julie Couillard, who naturally decided that to sell the story to the press. But here’s where it gets even better: Couliiard has links to organized crime.

According to CNBC, Couillard “has been linked to the criminal biker underworld” was once married to a biker and “was a potential target of Hells Angels kingpin Maurice (Mom) Boucher while she dated another biker.”

At the time of writing Bernier had not quit parliament, only the ministry.
