Ex-Gay Conference Is No Big Deal Except, Wait, Stephen Baldwin Will Be There!

Greenville, SC – “Rising From The Ashes” is the title of an ex-gay conference put on by Hope for Wholeness Network that will run from October 31 to November 2. Before I lose you, you might be interested to know that the third most-famous Baldwin brother will be there!

Actor Stephen Baldwin will join ex-gay therapist Joe Dallas and former homosexual and anti-gay activist McKrae Game at the upcoming conference, reports Opposing Views. According to Game’s Truth Ministry website, he “shares the causes and treatment of same-sex attraction with his own experience as a person who struggled with homosexuality. When he was younger, he lived as a gay man for three years.”

The conference will also feature other ex-gay speakers along with workshops that help homosexuals form “healthy male same-sex relationships,” or as straight WASPs call them, “friendships.”

Baldwin doesn’t seem to be involved in any promotion for the Rising From The Ashes conference, and it is unclear what his role will be.

Interestingly, Game mentions the controversial Exodus International in his “welcome letter,” and seems to cite its closure as inspiration for Hope for Wholeness. This is despite the fact that the group’s former president actually apologized to the gay community for his efforts against them.

“I am sorry we promoted sexual orientation change efforts and reparative theories about sexual orientation that stigmatized parents,” EI president Alan Chambers wrote. “I am sorry that there were times I didn’t stand up to people publicly ‘on my side’ who called you names like sodomite—or worse.”

Anyway, you can watch a promo video for the conference below, or a far more interesting video of Fox’s Gretchen Carlson insulting the famous Baldwin (Alec) to Stephen’s face further down.
