Austin Mahone, ‘The Next Justin Bieber’, Postpones Tour

Austin Mahone, who is considered the next Justin Bieber, has been forced to postpone his tour which was to kick off on Thursday.

The tween heartthrob is under strict doctors orders to rest after falling ill unexpectedly on the same day in which his tour was to kick off, leaving thousands of young fans massively disappointed.

“I’ve never felt so bad,” the 17-year-old, who has been called the next Justin Bieber, wrote on Instagram, along with #selfie wearing a hospital gown, while hooked to what appears to be an IV.

The teen sensation was able to put on a brave face for his followers despite falling sick earlier in the week with flu-like symptoms and tweeting he had 103 degree fever.

USA Today reports that Austin’s rep confirmed the singer had been hospitalized on Thursday in a statement:

“Due to illness, Austin Mahone will unfortunately have to postpone his sold out MTV Artist to Watch Presents Tour to 2014. The singer, who fell ill earlier this week and already postponed his Miami and Orlando shows, is now on strict Dr.’s orders to stay on rest and will need to reschedule all dates on the tour.”

Austin Mahone’s mom, Michele, posted on his Twitter account, which rivals Justin Bieber’s with over 4 million followers, an update for the “Mahomies”, as his fans call themselves:

Michele Mahone says she doesn’t remember the last time “her baby” was so sick, while asking for prayer on a later tweet with the hashtag #PrayForAustin.

After touring with country sensation Taylor Swift, Austin Mahone was excited to headline his own tour, but he will have to get better first.

This is very upsetting to the young star who apologized to fans and parents who had made arrangements to attend his concerts.

“Ticket holders for the sold out tour will be notified of the new 2014 dates and all details as soon as possible,” Austin Mahone rep said in a statement. Mahomies, keep checking your emails and #PrayForAustin.
