Lauren Conrad is engaged to William Tell and after the announcement was made a lot of the reality TV stars fans began asking, “who is William Tell?”

As it turns out Conrad’s fiance is no stranger to dating semi-famous women. Tell previously dated Hairspray actress Brittany Snow and The Bachelor season 9 runner-up Sadie Murray. According to Murray he’s a nice guy who is thoughtful about who he dates. During a Us Weekly interview last year she proclaimed “He doesn’t date just to date. He’s either deeply in love or he’s on to the next thing… He’s the kind of guy you marry.”

After Conrad wrote, “I am very excited to share with you guys that William and I got engaged over the weekend,” we were curious to learn more about William Tell.

Just like Lauren he is from Orange County, California. In fact his geographical location was a big selling point for Conrad who told Marie Claire in July, “He is very good for me because we have a lot in common as far as where we grew up. It’s the first time I’m with someone and I’m not explaining things. He also has experience in the entertainment industry, so he understands a lot of things that people don’t always get.”

Tell is also ambitious, not only is he a law school student at the University of Southern California, he also played guitar for pop punk band Something Corporate. He toured with the band and had a No. 11 hit single on the charts with the groups a few years back. On February 4, 2004 Tell left the band to pursue a solo career. On March 13, 2007, Tell released his 10-track solo debut album titled You Can Hold Me Down.

William Tell is also an avid Twitter user who has been retweeted by the liked of Stephen Colbert and AOL founder Steve Case.

Tell and Conrad started dating on Valentine’s Day 2012 and according to Conrad she “fell for him instantly.”
