Caroline Manzo Leaving ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey,’ Will Start Her Own Show

Caroline Manzo is ready to step away from Real Housewives of New Jersey and into her own spotlight.

The 52-year-old mother of three announced that she’s leaving the show and has plans to film a pilot for a new series focusing specifically on her family.

Viewers often saw Manzo battling with fellow Housewife Teresa Giudice, who is facing fraud charges that could leave her behind bars for 50 years.

Caroline Manzo said the feuding and bickering changed the way she viewed Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“Over the past few years my outlook on the show has changed from something I couldn’t wait to show my future grandchildren to something I hope my future grandchildren never see,” she wrote on her Bravo blog. “Going back to film another season of Housewives would only make me a hypocrite.”

Manzo had been expressing her frustrations with the show and its manufactured drama.

“There comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and the people who create it and surround yourself with people who make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good,” she posted on Instagram. “After all, life is too short to be anything but happy.”

Manzo made her intentions to leave the show known immediately after Sunday’s season finale aired.

Manzo’s fans may not have to wait long to see her again. Caroline announced that she and her family are filming a pilot for a new reality how called Manzo’d with Children. The show will focus on the Manzo family, including her husband Al and their three children.

“We are having an absolute blast filming it, and I hope you all join us as we start our new chapter within the Bravo newtork [sic],” she wrote.

Caroline Manzo added that she hasn’t closed the book, just “turned the page.”
