Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock Recreate ‘Big’ ‘Chopsticks’ Scene [Video]

Tom Hanks recreated the infamous “Chopsticks” scene from his hit 1988 comedy, Big, while appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show over the weekend, and he did so with a helping hand from Sandra Bullock.

Hanks was in the United Kingdom to promote his upcoming drama, Captain Phillips, and the actor used this occasion to prove that he can still perform the song with his feet, over 25 years after Big was released.

The 53-year-old actor was joined by Sandra Bullock, who was on the show to talk about her sci-fi hit, Gravity, and, even though she was wearing high heels, she was able to match Hanks,

Upon seeing the toy piano Hanks said to Bullock, “Well, maybe now we can do “Chopsticks,” but maybe not in your heels.” However, the 49-year-old dismissed Hanks’ safety advice, and argued, “Oh, I can do “Chopsticks” in my heels.”

The scene that the duo recreated from Big, sees Hanks’ character venture into New York’s famed toy store FAO Schwartz before playing the song with his feet on a giant piano that is on the store’s floor.

Not only did Bullock use the chat show to prove that she can play the piano in her heels with ease, she also revealed that she is quite the rapper too.

Bullock recanted a story which documented the time she attempted to seduce a boy from her high school by singing every lyric from Sugarhill Gang’s, “Rapper’s Delight.”

Bullock stated, “I was like, ‘Next time I go to that dance, I’m going to know every word. I’m going to make sure he sees me lip-synching it, and I’m going to catch his eye and, and say the words. And he’s going to like me.’ And sadly it worked.”
