Marilyn Manson Sheds Makeup For ‘East Bound & Down’ Cameo
Marilyn Manson is pretty easy to spot in a crowd. Well, only if he’s in his signature makeup. When he sheds the costume the hard rock singer can easily blend into the background.
Manson recently showed up to the set of Eastbound & Down and he was practically unrecognizable.
Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, will be making an appearance on the HBO show this season. It’s unclear when his episode will air or who Manson will be playing.
What is clear is that Marilyn is a big fan of Danny McBride and Eastbound & Down. But that was a surprise to the comedian.
McBride said: “For some reason, I don’t imagine Marilyn Manson sitting on a couch watching TV… I picture him hanging out in a torture chamber or something. We were definitely flattered and creeped out and felt great that he liked the show.”
Of course, there is a downside to having Manson guest star on your show. McBride says that he now gets strange phone calls and emails from the rocker.
The comedian said: “I get weird emails for Marilyn Manson now… He sends me weird emails in the middle of the night of what he’s watching on TV, and you can hear him giggling in the background. One time he literally sent me a ‘Peanuts’ special I guess he was watching.”
Marilyn Manson is best known for his music but he has acted before. He has appeared in the movie Lost Highway,Jawbreaker, and Party Monster.
