Hailie Scott: Eminem’s Daughter Is All Grown Up

Hailie Scott isn’t Eminem’s baby anymore.

The daughter of the famous rapper played a key role in some of his early songs, especially those that dealt with Em’s rough family life. But more than 15 years has passed since his debut album, and Hailie Scott is getting ready to graduate high school.

This weekend the 17-year-old Scott, Eminem’s only biological child with ex-wife Kim Scott, was voted homecoming queen by her classmates at Chippewa Valley High School.

A proud Eminem watched from a classroom inside the high school, The Macomb Daily reported.

“Hailie came out with her mother Kim (Scott) when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn’t want to cause a scene — he wanted Hailie to have her own moment,” one parent told the paper.

Even though Eminem kept himself hidden, reports say he was thrilled to see his daughter’s moment.

“He opened the door and looked out like — ‘That’s my daughter!’ He just looked like a proud father,” said another parent.

Fans of Eminem may feel like they’ve grown up right along with Hailie Scott. Eminem first rapped about her in his debut album, The Slim Shady LP. In the song “97 Bonnie & Clyde” he raps about bringing his infant daughter to a lake to dump the body of her mother, who he just murdered.

He later had a more gentle and personal song for his daughter, “Hailie’s Song,” in which he actually sings rather than raps.

Parents of students who are friends with Hailie Scott described is smart, athletic and caring student and she and her family have stayed out of the spotlight.
