Julianne Hough Rips Mark Ballas On DWTS [Video]

On DWTS, Julianne Hough had some harsh words for former partner Mark Ballas.

Dancing With The Stars‘ Julianne Hough used to be partnered with Ballas, but it’s probably good the pair are no longer in a position to step on one another’s feet.

After Mark paired up last night with Christina Milian, Hough assessed her set with Ballas — and barely hid her contempt.

The critique out of nowhere was a bit awkward for sure, as Julianne set into Mark as she discussed his performance with Milian this week.

As a guest judge last night, Hough was in a position to be on the other side of the table when her former partner danced — and she didn’t pull punches.

Speaking to Milian, Hough was blunt, and she said of the set:

“I really wanted to see you shine… I danced with Mark. You have to stand in front to make sure you’re seen.”

It wasn’t just the audience picking up on the straightforward slight — Milian saw it as well, and addressed it when she answered.

Christian shot back, saying to Julianne:

“We shine together.”

That wasn’t the end of Christina Milian’s commentary on Hough’s remark — after the show, she addressed the moment again, saying of her performance with Ballas:

“We take the high road… As long as we know that we did a fantastic job, that makes me happy.”

For his part, Ballas admits that Hough’s words were a bit of a shock. He says He tries to take it in stride, but admits to being a little bit bothered by the veiled attack — he said of his former partner’s harsh criticism:

“She put a little sting on me, but that’s okay… That’s how she felt. It is what it is.”
