Google’s Eric Schmidt Lands Another Book Deal

Stepping down as the CEO of Google has left Eric Schmidt with some spare time and apparently that time has been spent writing. The former Google head of operations has just announced plans to publish his next book.

Schmidt will publish the book through the Hachette Book Group.

This time around the book was co-authored by Google senior vice-president Jonathan Rosenberg.

The work, titled No Adult Supervision Required: How To Build Successful 21st Century Companies, is a how-to guide for business leaders. The book offers insights into Schmidt’s own management style and scenarios he has faced head-on over the years.

Eric Schmidt released his first offering, The New Digital Age, in April 2013.

The books publisher released the following statement on Monday: “Getting products right requires attracting and managing a new breed of technically savvy workforce, and this book offers a practical and accessible guide for how to do that.”

The new book will debut in Fall 2014. An exact date for the big reveal has not yet been posted.

As a fan of his first foray into the written word, I can’t wait to see what practical advice Eric Schmidt will provide to business leaders who are looking for a leg up on the increasingly technology competition.

Will you be running out to buy No Adult Supervision Required: How To Build Successful 21st Century Companies when it finally releases in late 2014?
