Giuliana Rancic Talks Baby Plans, Life After Breast Cancer
It’s been two years since Giuliana Rancic revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and things have certainly changed. The TV personality has had a double mastectomy, one child, (she may be planning for another), and is now an advocated for breast cancer awareness.
Rancic said that she was lucky because her doctors were able to detect the breast cancer early. The TV personality had a double mastectomy but she still regularly gets her blood checked to make sure that she’s still in good health.
“It’s pretty much blood work every four months and they test everything to make sure I’m OK — and so far, so good…That’s really the monitoring I do. It’s just regular doctors’ appointments to make sure everything is OK… I was very fortunate. Because I’ve gone public with the breast cancer, I hear a lot of stories and some are not as great as others. Whether it’s resulting in complications from surgery…whatever the case. I hear it all. And I realize how fortunate I am…to have just kind of gotten out of there OK because it is such a major surgery.”
It’s been a rough two years for Rancic but the TV personality is looking at a bright future. She recently welcomed a baby via surrogate with her husband Bill and she is reportedly planning for baby number two.
Rancic, who said that fans will get a final answer during the season premiere of Giuliana And Bill, told People Magazine that they are waiting on an answer from their surrogate.
Rancic said:
“I think her answer will surprise a lot of people… It’s not as cut and dry as I think you would expect… We’re thinking about having kids, but there’s nothing solid or concrete. I’ve got to say that first year was a lot, but when he turned one, it was like a switch turned on. Suddenly it all started making sense and we really got the hang of it. Before, we were like, what about an only child? Now we’re thinking, no, we definitely want another child.”

Rancic said: “He’s now dancing… If you put a certain song on, his whole body starts moving. It’s the cutest thing. But if you put a different song on, he won’t do it. There’s this one song. It’s kind of patriotic. There are like drums. Speaking of drums, he loves drumming. I told Bill we may have a little musician on our hands.”
