Bill O’Reilly Thinks Miley Cyrus Needs To ‘Tone Down The Cheap Stuff’

Bill O’Reilly really thinks Miley Cyrus needs to get her act together.

Although most of the singer’s fans probably couldn’t care less what the Fox News host thinks about the girl, O’Reilly recently opened up about the controversy during a chat with Extra. In his humble opinion, Cyrus needs to stop being so trashy.

“If I were here father I’d say, ‘Miley, dial it back a bit, work on your songs, on your presentation. You don’t need the cheap stuff,'” Bill O’Reilly told the outlet.

While he claims he doesn’t spend a lot of time discussing Miley Cyrus and her twerking ways, The View guest host Jason Biggs felt a little differently on Tuesday. After claiming that he doesn’t dwell on the singer, O’Reilly decided to set the record straight.

The Fox News personality explained:

“I just want to make it perfectly clear that I don’t really care about this subject, however I do care about kids. When Miley Cyrus, who is Hannah Montana, has a big following, and now she’s telling magazines that she takes drugs that are dangerous, that’s bad. What she did on stage, you guys make the call, all right? I’ve said that I think this is a talented woman, that she has acting and musical talent, that she doesn’t need to make a spectacle of herself to succeed. If she wants to be Lady Gaga, that’s her choice.”

Bill O’Reilly also told the folks at The View what he would do if he was Miley Cyrus’ father. This is apparently a subject he’s spent a fair amount of time pondering.

“But if I were her dad, number one, I wouldn’t discuss it in public, I’d discuss it in private. And I would just say, ‘Look, the guidance is, you want a long career? You want to be respected? You don’t do what she did,'” he explained.

Do you think Bill O’Reilly spends too much time talking about Miley Cyrus?
