GayCities Offers User Friendly GLBT Travel Guide

Posted: June 11, 2008

GayCities has launched its new site, billed as the “most user-friendly lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) travel and city guide on the web.

The new features include integrated photos, ratings, and forums with rich editorial content and user-generated reviews that allow users to share insider information on where to go, eat, and stay in more than 65 cities in North America.

There is also now an iPhone version of the site so users can upload photos and information from anywhere, as well as find out where to go when they’re out and about.

The relaunch is timely as June is Pride Month in North America and is typically the biggest gay travel month of the year. Gay travelers are a $65 billion vertical with over $8 billion in online reservations.

Notably CEO Scott Gatz is a former Yahoo Executive. If you’re in the GLBT community, there are far worse destinations that GayCities.
