Barbara Sinatra Slams Mia Farrow’s Paternity Claim: ‘It’s Just A Bunch Of Junk’

Barbara Sinatra, the widow of Frank Sinatra, is slamming rumors that her late husband may be the father of Mia Farrow’s son, Ronan.

Farrow and Sinatra married on July 19, 1966. Sinatra served her with divorce papers on the set of Rosemary’s Baby two years later after she refused to quit working on the film to work on his movie, The Detective.

Farrow began dating Woody Allen in 1980, and the couple adopted two children, Moses “Misha” and Dylan “Eliza” Farrow. Farrow gave birth to their son, Satchel O’Sullivan Farrow — later known as Ronan — in 1987.

Farrow told Vanity Fair that Sinatra was “possibly” Ronan’s father, and not Allen. Farrow also said Sinatra was the great love of her life, and that they “never really split up.”

Barbara Sinatra, who was married to Ol’ Blue Eyes from 1976 until his death in 1998, dismissed the rumors.

“I can’t hardly believe that,” she said. “It’s just a bunch of junk. There’s always junk written — lies that aren’t true.”

Sinatra added, “It sounds like a phony to me.”

A representative for Woody Allen also slammed the rumors, telling The Associated Press, “The article is so fictitious and extravagantly absurd that he is not going to comment.”

No DNA tests have been conducted to confirm Ronan Farrow’s paternity. However, Nancy Sinatra Jr. told Vanity Fair,“He is a big part of us, and we are blessed to have him in our lives.”

Ronan Farrow, for his part, joked about the rumors on Twitter Wednesday, writing:

Barbara Sinatra published Lady Blue Eyes: My Life with Frank in May 2011. She wrote that, for the first year they were married, she had to “pinch” herself daily to believe that she was married to Frank Sinatra, who was her third husband. She was previously married to Robert Oliver, and then to Zeppo Marx from 1959 to 1973.
