Setting up your insurance plan through the Affordable Care Act’s website has been a real pain for many who have tried since Tuesday’s launch. The good news is, there’s a help hotline you can call if you run into a snag: 1-800-F*CKYOU.

Healthcare.gov opened the long-awaited and controversial exchanges marketplace on October 1, giving millions of Americans the opportunity to shop for a healthcare package for themselves or their family. The site has reportedly run into a few snags, with many users experiencing downtime or stonewalling glitches as they try to navigate what was meant to be a very simple sign-up process.

MSNBC anchor Mara Schiavocampo actually attempted to sign up on TV to show how “easy” it’s supposed to be. After 30 minutes of glitches and a call to a representative for help, she gave up.

Is Obamacare a failure right out of the gate? Wrong question. There isn’t really a way to know yet despite glitches and the like (and this is coming from a heartless Libertarian who kind of hopes this all blows up in the end). First of all, millions of people are logging on these first few days to either sign up, to check it out, or to mock it.

Should the federal government in all its might and glory have prepared for such a possibility? Probably. Does it mean Obamacare is a failure? No. It means Healthcare.gov is having problems right now and nothing more.

But forget the politics of it all for just a moment. Remember when we used to laugh together, regardless of caucus? Remember when you could grab a beer with your liberal or conservative friend and just talk about sports instead of devolving into “how can you continue to support… ” and “wake up, you troglodyte… ” etc. etc. ad nauseam?

Let’s do that again by having a laugh at the Obamacare help hotline number. Whether you’re left or right, you have to admit that given all of the controversy around the new law, 1-800-F*CKYOU is hilarious.

Yes, the number for the national call-in center is 1-800-318-2596. You have to skip the “1” and do some fancy phonetic footwork to make “fetch” happen, but it’s there. “But that’s cheating,” you say. “How dare you score cheap political points blah blah… ” something, sorry, I tuned out. Remember, this isn’t an indictment of Obamacare. I’m just doing this so liberals and conservatives both can have a cheap laugh.
