In a Hilltown accident in PA Tuesday the driver is dead in a three car crash.
In other accidental news as reported by The Inquisitr, in February a fiery crash killed three in 27 car highway crash in Georgia and Cedar Point has faced heat for accidents in Ohio and Texas.
This time though, the accident occurred in Hilltown, PA at Bethlehem Pike and Schoolhouse Road. The Hilltown accident killed the driver and injured the drivers of the two other vehicles. Apparently the driver crashed his black Scion tC into a pickup and then collided with a garbage truck.
The driver of the Mazda pickup was turning right into a driveway when the Scion smashed into it from behind, then crossed into oncoming traffic, which just happened to be a Mack truck. The impact actually caused the Scion to go in the opposite direction, according to police. The rescue crew pulled the driver out of the car onto the road and immediately began resuscitation procedures. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and he has been identified as Donnie Hopwood III. A sheet was placed over the Mr. Hopwood on the road to shelter onlookers from the scene at the Hilltown accident.
Mr. Hopwood was a Souderton High School graduate. Donnie Hopwood III was also a Telford native and Lansdale resident. Donnie Hopwood’s Facebook page was filled with tributes from friends and family. One of his teachers from Indian Valley Middle School, Karen Fiorilla wrote:
My heartfelt prayers go out to the Hopwood family and all of Donnie’s friends. I will never forget his smile and realistic outlook on life when i taught him at Indian Valley Middle School. No one can take away those memories. Eternal rest grant unto him and may a special ray of light shine upon him. Heaven has welcomed another Souderton angel…we cannot spare any more of our precious children to your care though…please God, listen to my plea
A tragically ironic comment from friend/relative Jack Sergio talking of previous “crazy car rides”:
The late night talks in the alley, the crazy car rides, running around Telford like we owned it and the day we found out we were related (lol) I will hold close to my heart! you are truly one of a kind & a great guy! I will miss you bud, love you… watch over us all!”
And a creepy status update from Donnie Hopwood III himself, on August 28th:
You’re already dead. You’re dead from the moment you’re born. If you can accept that, you can accept anything.
Police say the other drivers were injured, but not seriously. An investigation into the Hilltown accident in PA that caused the driver’s death in a three car crash yesterday, is ongoing.
Local authorities involved with the Hilltown accident include Hilltown Police, Souderton Community Ambulance, Souderton Perseverance Fire Co. and Telford Fire Co. Bethlehem Pike was closed as of 10:35 p.m. last night, and it is unknown is the road has reopened.
What do you think of the Hilltown accident, and how about those Facebook comments…??
