Police pull over 11 year old driving 8 ton loader

dozerdays

In the WTF story of the day police pulled over an 11-year-old boy driving an eight ton loader in New Zealand. Not pretend driving, actually driving. On a road.

Senior Sergeant Warren Newbury said officers had first stopped a truck and trailer in Southbridge and then pulled over the loader following it.

In what has got to be the understatement of the year Senior Sergeant Newbury said:

“Police were surprised to find the loader was being driven by an 11 year old boy.”

No shit.

The boy was driving the loader following his dad who was driving a truck to an undisclosed destination. The father has been charged with aiding and abetting an unlicensed driver.

  1. Very WTF. Did you see yesterdays wtf? The 12 yo girl up at Mt Isa who was arrested for DUI, and then escaped custody or something along those lines?

    Kids today, yeeeesh.

  2. Well when I was 9, I used to drive my dads 5 ton bulldozer between job sites. Every one thought it was the most natural and obvious thing to do since I obviously couldn't drive the ute, which would just be plain dangerous!

    fun times…
