Apple Seeking Another LTE Developer

Long Term Evolution, more commonly referred to as LTE, is the future of mobile 4G technologies and realizing that fact Apple has put out a new job posting, seeking a developer with the knowledge to implement LTE on iOS device.

The title is officially stated as “iOS Cellular Protocol SW Engineer-SH/BJ” and includes the following responsibilities:

Implementation, Integration, customization, enhancement and maintenance of L1-3 Protocols for one or more of the following air interface: GSM/UMTS, CDMA (1x/EVDO), LTE, etc.”

LTE is still far off so don’t expect a huge iPhone 5 announcement, especially because no carriers would support the tech at this time, but at least Apple is looking directly to the future for their next big competitive advantage.
