Dumb And Dumber Sequel

Jennifer Lawrence Scores A Role In ‘Dumb And Dumber 2’

Proving that she can do action, drama, and comedy, acclaimed actress Jennifer Lawrence has scored a small role in Bobby and Peter Farrelly’s Dumb and Dumber To.

The award-winning star of Silver Linings Playbook is currently filming the next installment of the Hunger Games series in Atlanta. This reportedly made it very easy for her to stop by the set of the Dumb and Dumber sequel; the film is also shooting in the area.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Lawrence only has a cameo in the Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels comedy. Reports suggest that the actress will play a younger version of Kathleen Turner’s character. Beyond that, details about her role are pretty scarce at the moment.

The actress told late-night talk show host Jimmy Fallon that she was a huge fan of the 1994 comedy.

“I know every word to ‘Dumb and Dumber,’ ‘Step Brothers’ and ‘Anchorman,'” she explained. Be sure to check out her chat with Fallon below.

Jennifer Lawrence isn’t the only recent addition to the sequel’s growing cast. Variety reports that comedic actor Rob Riggle recently joined the flick as well. Filming on the long-awaited follow-up began earlier this month.

Although details about the plot aren’t in abundance as of this writing, it’s believed that Dumb and Dumber To will essentially follow the same formula as the original. Instead of trying to reunite a beautiful woman with her briefcase, the guys embark on a road trip to find Harry’s daughter.

Jennifer Lawrence certainly has her hands full right now. In addition to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, the actress recently put her considerable talents on-display in Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell’s American Hustle. The film opens this December.

Here’s the actress discussing the comedy with Jimmy Fallon.
