Cory Booker Vegan Stripper Friend Opens Up About Flirty Tweets [Video]

Lynsie Lee, Cory Booker’s good-natured Twitter stripper friend, opened up about her feelings about the Newark, N.J., mayor who is running for US Senate. Both them appeared in the same documentary about Twitter although they have never met in person.

Some of the provocative tweets between two were recently revealed by BuzzFeed.

In a TMZ interview (see embed above), Lee, a Portland, Ore., single mom, called the controversy about the Twitter exchanges ridiculous: “We both have legal jobs, and we both are single adults.” She admitted that she “may have a crush [on him]” and added that while she’s not a Democrat, “I love humanity and compassion, and those are the two things I would rather vote for than any title for a party.” She also acknowledged that she would like to be Booker’s first lady.

Her critics are way off base, the dancer who “colleged” her way through stripping and works three days a week and spends the rest of her time with her young daughter, observed: “I’m still and intelligent woman; I use my [body] where I work, then outside of that, I have a mind.”

According to the New York Post, “The lusty Lee works at a go-go hall in Portland called Casa Diablo, which bills itself as the world’s first vegan strip club, since the dishes on their bar menu are all meat-free. ‘We keep the meat on the pole, not on the plate” tweeted Lee, whose large collection of tattoos includes a gun on her leg.”

Booker’s spokesman said that “I think it’s pretty well known that the mayor talks with people from all walks of life on Twitter. Really, the most shocking part of this story was learning there is a vegan strip club in Portland.”

Under Oregon law, Lee explained, businesses that serve alcohol must also serve food, and the owner happens to be a vegan who implemented a vegan menu.

The Post separately reported that according to the owner of the club, “They have introduced the ‘Booker Burger’ — a veggie patty “with extra mayo, since he’s the ‘mayo’-r of Newark.”

According to NJToday.Net, Booker’s commanding lead over Republican Steve Lonegan in the October 16 special election has shrunk, although Booker is still ahead. “Most polling firms had Booker ahead by at least twice as much in previous surveys, so the latest numbers indicate a severe decline in popular support for the political celebrity, whose lackluster performance in elected office far exceeds his carefully crafted reputation and campaign claims… Booker spent a week out of state raising money at several events, including a star-studded gala in Hollywood, while New Jersey voters learned that during his tenure as mayor, he had accepted $700,000 in payments from his former law firm, which received $2 million in contracts from city agencies in the same period.”

Booker’s opponent “has hammered away of Booker’s record on crime and taxes in the state’s largest city, while newspapers have criticized him for failing to clear up questions of corruption in his administration.”

Along these lines, The Daily Caller reports that Booker has been “named in a lawsuit for allegedly failing to investigate a former Newark deputy mayor’s ‘theft” of city money.”

There is also a controversy over whether Booker does or does not really have a friend named T-Bone who allegedly was a Newark drug dealer. Another controversy has emerged as to whether a teenager named Wazn Miller actually died in Booker’s arms after being shot.
