Rio De Janeiro Joyride: Eight Year Old Caught On Film [Video]

A recent Rio De Janeiro joyride led to an eight-year-old caught on film, as shown in the video above.

It should be a known fact that children don’t have the same sense of danger that adults to. That’s why most professional skateboarders get started in their careers in their early teens or younger, despite the medical bills that will probably drive their patient parents into poverty if they don’t make good money with it.

An eight-year-old in Rio De Janeiro was caught on film taking his tricycle out on the freeway at the top of a slope, risking almost certain death as he steered the toy out into the main traffic lanes and proceeded to coast from there. As he coasted, cars went out of their way to go around him, but kept cautiously slowing so as not to run the child over. One car was obviously in a hurry early on as it crept up behind the child and the driver honked its horn.

The Rio De Janeiro joyride proved a danger to everybody on the road, yet nobody thought to get out of the car and actually tell the boy to go home, or pick the eight-year-old and his tricycle up and bring them home. Traffic congestion continued to be the norm as the boy kept bringing the toy to the top of the slope to go for another joyride.

Eventually, the boy stayed on the side of the freeway, mostly out of the way, but after a few too many bumps which almost resulted in the tricycle falling on him, the Rio de Janeiro eight-year-old apparently gave up. Perhaps it dawned on the boy that there was no safe way to go about his joyride adventure.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens when we don’t pay attention to our children. We don’t always have dogs to save our kids from danger, as previously reported by The Inquisitr. Hopefully, this Rio De Janeiro joyride was a one-time event.

Here is a similar incident a few months ago that sadly, didn’t end all too well:
