Matt Nordgren, Lindsay Lohan Were Dating, But Aren’t Now

This week we learned that Matt Nordgren and Lindsay Lohan were an item — but the pair have apparently broken up, despite the fact we never really knew LiLo had a fella in recent weeks.

While Matt Nordgren, who is a businessman, does think Lohan’s back on track, the pair have gone their separate ways romantically — it would seem.

The culprit? Like many young professionals, Matt and Linds were rumored to have been driven apart by the stresses of a long distance pairing.

According to a source close to the Matt Nordgren Lindsay Lohan split, the two tried to work out their love feels, but separation and busy schedules got in the way:

“Their work schedules and the distance just make dating impossible… He really likes and respects her. He thinks she is back on top, emotionally and physically.”

But a separate source suggested that personality conflicts may have been to blame for the alleged breakup — hinting that while Matt toes the straight and narrow, Lindsay’s wild ways were a distraction:

“He’s older, a successful businessman, and he has been a great friend to her… He’s also a Christian and won’t drink around her. He’s trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow. He’s really good for her.”

Nordgren denied dating Lindsay, and the former college football player told the New York Post‘s Page Six that he and the eternally troubled star were just good pals — and that he’d been there for her through some of her struggles:

“We’ve hung out… But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now.”

Per a source, Matt Nordgren supports Lohan’s “sobriety and wishes her the absolute best.”
