Colorado Lawmaker Kent Lambert Blames Democrat ‘Mind Control’ For Gay Acceptance

If you’ve “evolved” on gay marriage, Colorado lawmaker Kent Lambert has a theory on that — suggesting Democrats are using “mind control” to trick people into not disliking homosexuals.

Lambert explained his feelings on the gay agenda during the Pray in Jesus Name Internet show, and RawStory has some eye-popping quotes from the Colorado Senate member.

Kent Lambert was riffing on the issue out of Colorado during which a bakery earned widespread ire for refusing to serve a gay couple. The shop’s insistence that making a gay wedding cake was wrong proved controversial, and Lambert thinks that gay marriage opposers are being coerced by laws in the state.

Speaking to former Navy Chaplain Gordon James “Chaps” Klingenschmitt, Lambert said that gay marriage laws are a form of unfair force, explaining:

“In Colorado we have a Constitutional prohibition against homosexual marriage, however (the civil unions) law turned that Constitutional provision on its head. There are no wavers or provisions for any contrary thought, whether it’s religion or just people’s expression of their own morality.”

Lambert blames powerful Dems for the “mind control” force used to make people support gay marriage, adding:

“It completely suppresses basically any ideas. It’s a mind control experiment by the majority party, the Democrats, here in Colorado to force everybody, including children in schools, everything else, under penalty of law to believe in homosexual marriage.”

The Colorado Senate member continues, claiming that such laws are a violating of religious freedom:

“We have long tradition in the United States, as you know, in the U.S military of conscientious objection of things like going to war and things like that… This completely, in my opinion, tramples those rights. And it’s specifically targeted against religious rights.”
