Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty busy these days. He has his own directorial debut about to come out called Don Jon, and throughout his promotion for the film, RegularJoe has been reminding us why we love him so much. There’s no denying that Gordon-Levitt is a consummate performer, and has a high level of showmanship. With that showmanship comes a pretty big sense of humor.
Gordon-Levitt wasn’t afraid to show off his sense of humor, while playing around with Jimmy Fallon in a lip sync battle. The actor attended Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new film Don Jon, but he also gave the audience, and the viewers at home a pretty neat treat.
Jimmy Fallon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt took to the main stage to lip sync a few classic hits, and some current tunes that are storming the charts. What resulted was a 10-minute epic lip sync between host Jimmy Fallon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Stephen Merchant. All three performers one upped each other with their choice of hits.
It’s not a huge surprise that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be up for a little lip sync challenge. Gordon-Levitt has taken to the stage before, on his own accord, to perform covers during various live performances for his hitRECord shows. In addition the Don Jon star has also sung in a few of his films, including (500) Days of Summer, and his new film Don Jon.
Some highlights that were lip synced were Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”, Aha’s “Take On Me”, and a few others. However, it was Gordon-Levitt’s closing number that really took the cake. We aren’t going to tell you which song Joseph Gordon-Levitt decided to close the battle with, but you can certainly check it out below.
Don Jon hits theaters on Friday, September 27.
