Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Under The Skin’ Gets A New Trailer [Video]

Following the screening at this year’s Telluride Film Festival, the Scarlett Johansson sci-fi flick Under the Skin dropped a brand new trailer.

Although the movie still doesn’t have a North American distribution deal, this isn’t stopping the folks behind the flick from piecing together another trailer for director Jonathan Glazer’s odd little flick. You can find the creepy little clip embedded below.

Under the Skin finds the Iron Man 2 star tackling the role of a seductive alien who uses her incredible looks to seduce men across Scotland. She searches the highway for the right guy before taking his body back to her home planet. Human meat is apparently a delicacy in other parts of the universe.

Worst Previews fleshes out the synopsis:

She is deadly efficient, but over time becomes drawn to and changed by the complexity of life on earth. With this new found humanity and weakening alien resolve, she finds herself on a collision course with her own kind. Taking her point of view throughout, the film presents a unique look at our world through alien eyes.

The previously-released trailer for the upcoming thriller suggested that Glazer was taking a page from the David Lynch and David Cronenberg playbook. While the latest clip is a bit more coherent, it’s clear that the Sexy Beast director is aiming for something a bit more surreal.

Under the Skin isn’t the only movie Scarlett Johansson has in the works at the moment. The Lost in Translation star also provides the voice of Samanthan in Being John Malkovich director Spike Jonze’s Her. Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams co-star in the flick.
