Home Depot Birthday Party For Five-Year-Old [Video]

A Home Depot birthday party was thrown for a deserving five-year-old boy.

When you think of the Home Depot, you usually think of lumber and hardware, not celebrating your kid’s special day. However, when young Joshua Hagerty of Modesto, California wanted to celebrate turning five years old, that’s what happened.

Joshua Hagerty has multiple physical ailments, which have required 15 surgeries in the span of his five years alive. His heart and kidneys have given him several problems throughout his short life. When the boy asked his mother to get some workshop sets for a Home Depot-themed birthday party at their home, his mother relayed the message to the store manager.

Home Depot store manager Kevin Baum replied saying he would go a step further.

The employees of the Modesto, California Home Depot put together a birthday celebration just for him. They threw him a Home Depot birthday party right in the store, complete with Lego sets, workshop kits, goody bags, balloons, and a cake shaped like a hammer. They even bought him presents with their own money to help make his birthday dream come true.

Joshua Hagerty’s mother Jennifer asked that his Home Depot birthday party be made publicly known so that people everywhere could say their thanks to the hardware store that went out of its way to make the boy’s dream come true. Needless to say, the boy loved his birthday party and said it was the best party ever.

It isn’t very often that a major store dedicated to home improvement does such charitable things, but in the case of young Joshua Hagerty, we say the boy deserved this celebration. We at The Inquisitr would like to thank the Home Depot of Modesto, California for their awesome work in helping Joshua Hagerty’s birthday wish come to life.
