Britney Spears’ Team Freaked Out Over Unapproved Question During ‘Good Morning America’ Interview
Since Britney Spears’ meltdown in 2007, there hasn’t been a team that’s as well put together as the people that surround the pop star. Spears’ team, otherwise known as simply “Team Britney,” has dedicated their lives to protecting Britney from the vultures that may try to weasel their way into Spears’ life. That protection also extends to any press interviews the singer might have to do. It’s well-known that Team Britney controls the environment of her interviews. Every interview is staged down to the T so Britney isn’t left in awkward situations.
For months Britney’s residency in Las Vegas was speculated. So when Spears attended an interview with Sam Champion from Good Morning America, her team planned to have this interview act as Spears confirming the big Vegas news. While Spears did confirm the news of her Vegas stay, her team wasn’t expecting the journalist to go off the cuff for the interview.
According to RadarOnline, Britney’s team was in an absolute tizzy over Champion deviating from the planned questions that they had previously signed off on. The formal sit-down turned a bit informal on Tuesday when Champion asked Spears who was her first kiss.
“Britney’s team panicked when Sam deviated from the pre-approved questions and asked her who her first kiss was. There was a brief moment of panic from Britney’s team, but she handled it like a pro.”
The way an interview usually works with Britney Spears is that everything is controlled, from the questions the singer is asked to the amount of time that’s spent with Spears and the location. Each person who interviews Spears has to sign off on terms of conditions to agree that all facets will be controlled to Team Britney’s liking.
The source continued to RadarOnline have said: “Britney doesn’t do any interviews with any media outlets that don’t agree to the conditions set forth by her team.”
Although Britney didn’t seem fazed by the innocent question, we have to wonder if Spears will ever return to Good Morning America again.
