Amber Riley: ‘Everything Was A Blur’ On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ [Video]

Amber Riley may have performed extremely well on Dancing with the Stars, but the Glee cast member said that everything was a blur during her routine.

Although the actress and partner Derek Hough found themselves at the top of the leaderboard on Monday evening, Riley said she doesn’t remember too much about the performance itself.

“Everything was a blur. I didn’t see anything. I don’t even remember what happened!” Amber Riley recently told the folks at Access Hollywood.

Derek Hough seemed impressed with Riley’s abilities on the dance floor. Instead of seeing absolute horror on his partner’s face, Hough said the actress seemed to enjoy the show.

“You just made a face at me [while we were performing]. I enjoyed that. Normally, I’m looking at my partner in their face and I just see terror in their eyes,” he said.

Amber Riley also explained that she decided to sign on for DWTS to encourage young girls to get up and move around. The Glee actress thinks her stint on competition will inspire other people to get healthy.

“I’ve gotten older. I’m 27 now and I had health issues earlier this year that caused me to really pay attention to what I was eating. And I just started exercising more and I started eating better and I just want to encourage girls. I’m not trying to be a certain size, but I do want to live a long time,” Riley said.

Judge Bruno Tonioli was definitely impressed with Riley’s moves on the dance floor.

“You are the tigress of Season 17. That’s how you take it, that’s how you shake it, that’s how you make it yours! You are an inspiration to the nation. You were radiant, stylish. You move very well. You’re light on your feet,” he told the actress.
