Phillip Lim Target Collection Goes On Sale
Did you notice a pretty big line at Target today? Well, that’s probably because the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target capsule collection made its debut today.
Thrifty fashion fans got their first look at the new Phillip Lim collection a few days ago at New York Fashion week. The highly anticipated line has now hit stores.
Target writes:
“The year’s most anticipated collaboration has landed in your local store! We’ve joined forces with renowned designer Phillip Lim to create a limited edition collection that allows anyone to be refined and stylish on the go.”
The Chicago Tribune reports that hundreds of people were standing outside this morning to be one of the first people to own one of Lim’s new bags.
Shopper Crystal Martin said: “It was out of control… This was painful. It was crazy.”
Lim’s premiere bags can sale for $1000 or more. The target collection, however, tops out at about $299.
One shopper said: “I’m a Phillip Lim fan, but I could never actually afford a $900 purse… But $35 for one that looks the same? I’m OK with that.”

The new collection brought big lines to Target this morning but not everyone was a fan of the collection. Some Twitter users were less than impressed with the Phillip Lim for Target collection.
Disappointed in the Phillip Lim Target collection. Looked not so great in person. Not a single piece that looked nice enough to grab :/
