Kate Middleton stuns at her first official, post-baby engagement, when she accompanied Prince William to a gala for the Tusk Foundation.
The new mother of the barely one-month old Prince George of Cambridge, looked as beautiful and elegant as ever with a long, sequin Jenny Packman dress and high stilettos.
Kate wore her lovely hair down and was glowing in the custom made dress, which reportedly costs $6,300. A bit extravagant for the thrifty royal.
The couple was present for the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards at the Royal Society in London on Thursday evening.
William didn’t look bad either. The new Dad wore a tux and was photographed smiling from ear to ear while looking at his wife and mother of his son lovingly.
The Prince will announce two of the awards during the ceremony which honors outstanding achievement in the field of African conservation, a field that William is very fond of.
But back to Kate Middleton, where did those baby pounds go?
Apparently the Duchess has enjoyed some good ‘ol mommy care while recovering from her pregnancy. Carole Middleton, Kate’s mom, prepared nutritious smoothies for the new mother and made her healthy snacks.
Kate also munched on her favorite granola bars while resting and relaxing at her parents home, away from the limelight, in Bucklebury.
A couple of weeks ago, the family of three packed up and moved back to Anglesey, Wales while William finished with his duties as search and rescue pilot for the Royal Air Force (RAF) base.
During the Tusk awards, William explained that he had finished with his job at the RAF and was taking a more pronounced role in charitable work, especially when it comes to conservation.

According to sources close to Kate Middleton, the pounds have just melted off and the Duchess is not dieting, she is, however, still breastfeeding.
