Suge Knight Arrested After Minor Traffic Stop Violation


Suge Knight was arrested on Wednesday after a misdemeanor traffic violation revealed an outstanding warrant.

The rap music mogul was booked at the Los Angeles County Jail and was being held of $20,000 bail. The arrest occurred at approximately 12:30 am.

The 48-year-old is no stranger to run-ins with the law. In February 2012, Suge Knight was stopped in a black Bentley in Las Vegas. Police discovered less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession. Knight was was charged in Vegas for making an unsafe lane change.

In December 2010, the rap music mogul was stopped in suburban Los Angeles for failing to appear in court on a traffic violation.

The co-founder of Death Row Records is best known for his record label which signed Snoop Doggy Dogg (Snoop Lion) and Tupac Shakur among others. Suge Knight was in Las Vegas with Tupac Shakur when he was shot to death in 1996.

Knight was sent to jail after he violated his parole on assault and weapons convictions. While he was behind bars, Dr. Dre, Snoop Lion, and various other rappers abandoned Death Row Records. In 2006, Death Row claimed bankruptcy.

Throughout his short lived time as a rap music mogul, Suge Knight was accused of using intimidation to secure the recording contracts of top-notch rappers.

Suge Knight has shifted his career and is now managing the comedian/actor Katt Williams.
