Taylor Swift Denies Jennifer Lopez Collaboration

Taylor Swift is denying reports that she is collaborating with Jennifer Lopez on a song for the latter’s upcoming album.

The two singers sang a duet of “Jenny from the Block” at Swift’s concert at the Staples Center on August 25, and it was reported that the two had so much fun that they planned to work together on a new song.

Swift, however, said no such collaboration is in the works.

“That’s the rumor. We collaborated at Staples Center. She came out and sang ‘Jenny From the Block’ with me which was so much fun,” the 22-year-old told E! News. “We haven’t spoken further about collaborating but I did read that on the Internet, so that’s nice to know that it’s always accurate.”

Swift added, “I mean, for me, I love her, she’s amazing. She has my number, we text, but we haven’t texted about going into the studio.”

Jennifer Lopez’s as-of-yet untitled eight studio album will be “very special,” according to producer RedOne. The album will combine hip hop, dance, rhythmic, and Latin music. The first single, “Live It Up” featuring Pitbull, was released on May 8. The album is set for a November release.

Taylor Swift is also working on new music, and has promised that the follow-up to Red will be different from her previous albums.

“But I think it’s about to start to kick into full gear,” she said. “I’m about to go into the studio. It’s about to get really intense.”

Swift recently received six CMA nominations, trying with “Undermine” singer Kacey Musgraves. Swift is nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Red), and Best Female Vocalist. She is also nominated for Musical Event of the Year, Single of the Year, and Best Music Video for “Highway Don’t Care,” a duet with Tim McGraw from his album Two Lanes of Freedom.
