Is Jason Sudeikis sleeping with other people? Not exactly. Fans of Olivia Wilde shouldn’t worry, as the pair are still engaged and going strong. On the professional tip, Jason Sudeikis has decided to sign on for the comedy Sleeping With Other People.
Directed by Leslye Headland, who also directed runaway hit Bachelorette, Sleeping With Other People will see Sudeikis opposite Bachelorette star Kirsten Dunst.
Sudeikis has recently racked up successful comedies since he broke out from SNL. He hit the ground running while on SNL with Horrible Bosses, and this summer he had another hit on his hands starring opposite Jennifer Aniston in We’re The Millers.
In Sleeping With Other People, Jason will play someone a bit less likeable, as he will be taking on the role of a womanizer who becomes friends with a serial cheater (Dunst). So what do you think? Will Dunst and Sudeikis’ characters fall hopelessly in love and drive off into the sunset together? They may, but seeing as this is written and directed by the same person who made cocaine both an issue and comedic element in Bachelorette, it’s safe to say that the road to happiness with be incredibly flawed and bumpy.
According to Deadlinethe film’s central relation between Sudeikis and Dunst’s characters is described as: “Their platonic relationship reforms their chronic infidelity but sparks an inconvenient romantic attraction to each other.”
If this doesn’t sound like your thing, you can always check Jason out in the Horrible Bosses sequel, Horrible Bosses 2. In addition he also has the comedy Relanxious, which reunited him with SNL-alum Fred Armisen, and Tumbledown a romantic comedy that puts him in the graces of Magic Mike’s Joe Manganiello and Rose Byrne.
Jason Sudeikis isn’t the only SNL-alum to have moved on from SNL and into films. Will Ferrell who left SNL years ago, has also had success in the industry as an actor and a producer. In fact, Ferrell along with partner Adam McKay will produce Sleeping With Other People.
